The name translates to “Harbor of the Tusks.” The community primarily relies on fishing for their livelihood during Cambodia’s wet season (May - October). In the dry season (November - April), as the river’s water level decreases, many residents engage in farming to boost their income. Tourism, which began in the village around a decade ago, is also becoming an increasingly important part of the local economy.
