Experience the breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat and explore the best features of Angkor temples on a private tour by AC SUV/Minivan with a personal guide, starting early in the morning to stay ahead of the crowds and avoid the heat. We begin our journey at 5 am, purchasing a $37 per person day pass for the temple (you will cover this expense), and then moving on to the sunrise viewing at Angkor Wat, an imposing religious edifice from the 12th century dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God. We continue exploring until about 8:30 am, after which we’ll enjoy a picnic breakfast near the temple (you’ll need to bring breakfast boxes from your hotel). We then move on to the less explored Ta Prohm, famous for its overgrown jungle setting featured in the Tomb Raider film, and later to the remote Banteay Srei temple known for its detailed engravings in Pink Sandstone. We’ll grab lunch at a nearby local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the 13th-century Bayon Temple, home to 196 Buddha faces and located in the heart of the region, and the South Gate of Angkor Thom on our return journey. Amazing Angor Wat sunrise tour with Han - I highly recommend this tour company and their guide Han. Han was hugely knowledgeable about the history, architecture and materials used. I think he knew and shared things that other guides might miss because he has 10+ years guiding experience and also lived and played as a child all over the Angor Wat complex. His English was excellent and also his sense of humor. The private van with separate driver and Han as guide collected us on time at the hotel. It was a short drive to easily and efiiciently buy our entrance tickets and then onward to catch the sunrise over Angor Wat. After that we ate breakfast at a nearby restaurant and then started our private guided tour of Angor Wat and other temples. We moved around in the van and the AC and complimentary cold towels and water were very welcome. To be able to customize our private tour with Han was superb.

Sunrise at Angkor Wat - Our tour guide Sam was fantastic. He was able to guide us amongst the hundreds of people at the temples and tell us amazing details about Angkor Wat and other the temples that we would never have know about had we done this without a guide. He really looked after us. The history of these temples are so fascinating. Well worth it.
