Sambor Prei Kuk (Isanapura) is an archaeological site in Cambodia located in Kampong Thom Province, 30 km (19 mi) north of Kampong Thom. The Lion temple group consists of 18 temples with two ramparts near the pond. We will begin the full-day private tour to Sambo Prei Kuk temple from Siem Reap. It is one of Cambodia’s most significant yet least understood temples from the Angkorian period. Sambor Prei Kuk features over 100 primarily brick temples nestled in the forest, including some of the oldest structures in the country. Recently, this site was recognized as Cambodia’s third UNESCO World Heritage Site, much to the delight of Cambodians. After returning, we will visit Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake.
