This was so much fun, amazing team at Siam reap pottery arts centre. Very friendly and young teachers with a great 1.5-2 hour se - Even though this was our first time doing pottery, we were made aware about each and every possible way to learn atleast 4 items. Session is very well organized and in a small amount of time, under tutelage of arts centre pottery teachers, you can actually build 5-6 pieces. If you are able to come back next the day, roughly 24 hours later, they will give you your pottery pieces. If you have a flight or are continuing onward in your journey, they allow you to pick any items upto 10 USD limit, that you can take from their shop. We had a flight so we picked an item each from their shop. They were super friendly and super cool. Highly recommend this in Siam Reap

Great experience - It was my husband and I first time trying our hands at pottery. It was a really fun experience and the teachers also made it such a great experience. We liked that we could keep one pot we made each however unfortunately they didn’t make the trip home in our bags (bad packing). So I would probably recommend bubble wrap or get them posted. If you want something to do and want to try pottery this is a great class to take.

Really fun - My group of 12 went to try our hands at pottery making with Khmer Ceramics and Arts Centre on Nov 26. At the onset, booking and communications were easy with Mr. Kimshay via WhatsApp. We were picked up at our hotel and brought to the school. The hands on session was really fun, punctuated with plenty of laughter as some pieces broke off or went awry. We made 5 pieces in total, 3 guided by the instructor and 2 on our own. The instructors were all young and very very friendly. Shared alot of laughter together when our pottery pieces didnt cooperate with us..really really hilarious. In the end we get to choose our favourite piece to be fired and for keeps. We added the painting session, which was a little more serious but no less creative as we painted 4 pieces of ready made pottery. Oh, a final note. Our thanks to Mr. Kimshay. He was a fantastic guy. Very friendly, always accomodating. Kudos to him and his team...the very best. Go do this...it is really really fun..

Khmer Ceramics Centre - a must do - If you have a spare couple of hours I highly recommend going to Khmer Ceramics Centre and learn how to make your own pieces. Their location is a short tuk tuk ride out of town and all of their staff are incredibly friendly. All of the instructors are deaf but not knowing sign language is not a problem - you can tell when they are laughing at your disastrous attempts or praising when you get it right. You get to make 5 pieces and then decorate one and they fire it up for you overnight. I love how my bowl turned out and get to keep it as a fond memento for years to come. Thank you at all at Khmer Ceramics

Enjoyable! - The pottery class which included modelling and painting already made pieces was an enjoyable experience. The instructors were very patient with our group of 25 students guiding them to produce pieces which they were proud to take home. This was a great activity and also for us to be able to support this social enterprise that provides employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people. Thank you Kimshay and your team!

Fun Learning Experience - This was my first time to learn pottery making and it was more than fun getting my hands dirty learning the art. It was also challenging. This activity is wonderful for solo and group travelers alike. Plus, the instructors (potters) are deaf mute and their skills are just amazing! However, I found the ceramic painting a bit of a bore since they could not provide all the colors I wanted. That's coming from a non-artist like myself. Well, for someone with really good art, I think the lack of color palette wouldn't be problem in making nice paints.
