- Preah Vihear Temple - Begin your day with an early departure from your hotel. Our team will collect your group at 5:30 AM, so kindly request your hotel to prepare breakfast boxes for you. We will pause in the quaint town of Anlong Veng for breakfast and refreshments. Anlong Veng was the final stronghold and capital of the Khmer Rouge Army before 1998, and it is also where Mr. Pol Pot passed away. This town boasts several historical sites, including Ta Mok’s House, which has become a popular attraction for visitors.
After our stop in Anlong Veng, we will proceed to the remarkable Hindu temple of Preah Vihear, situated atop the Dangrek Mountain Range, near the Thailand border. From the Cambodian side, you can even see the Thai army. We will spend about two hours exploring this magnificent temple. Before ascending to the temple complex, you will need to purchase a temple ticket. Additionally, we will need to rent a pickup truck to take us up to the Preah Vihear temple site.
- Koh Ker Temple - After a lunch break, we will continue to the Koh Ker temples. This remote site features fascinating Hindu monuments located approximately 125 kilometers northeast of Siem Reap city. This historical site was established by King Jayavarman IV, who built numerous temples in this area.
Koh Ker is known by two names: Chhoark Koki and Lingas Puravida. This journey is an excellent opportunity to combine your visit to Koh Ker & Preah Vihear temple.
You will have the chance to visit notable temples such as Prasat Koh Ker, Prasat Thom, Prasat Bram (known for its five towers), Prasat Neang Khmao, Prasat Chrab, Prasat Damrei, and Prasat Krachab. Additionally, we can enhance our experience by visiting local farms, including durian, pepper, banana, cashew, and tapioca farms. The journey will take you through beautiful countryside, showcasing picturesque rice fields and charming villages, providing a glimpse into the local way of life.
- Siem Reap - After your delightful visit today, we will arrange for your transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap. We hope you enjoy your stay and take some time to relax and unwind. If you have any questions or need assistance during your time in Siem Reap, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
