Astounding Angkor Wat - My flight into Siem Reap was three hours late, but my guide, Ran, and driver, Leak, were there waiting when I arrived. On the ride to my hotel, Ran gave me an overview of the area and our planned itinerary for the next couple of days. I stayed three nights at the Prince D’Angkor Hotel—a beautiful and comfortable place with excellent service, great cuisine, and a fabulous saltwater pool. At 9 a.m., I was picked up for my first temple visit: Beng Mealea, the "Jungle Temple," followed by Banteay Srei. Both were astonishing, setting the stage for Angkor Wat the next day. Ran was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, providing a fact-filled education on the history behind these temples—their construction, the fundamentals of Hinduism, and the Khmer Empire and its royalty. His English was excellent, making it easy to absorb the rich history. Meanwhile, Leak was always waiting with a cold bottle of water and an ice-cold facecloth—perfect for a Northerner like me! The next morning, we headed to Angkor Wat—the site and purpose of my trip. The only item ever on my Bucket List. Its scale and magnificence blew my mind. Afterward, Ran asked if I wanted to visit Tonlé Sap Lake, as it was included in the tour. I was tired and chose to return to the hotel pool instead—probably a mistake. But I believe I'll return later this year, and when I do, I hope to meet up with Ran again and book with the professional tour company, Around Cambodia Travel, Siem Reap. Highly recommend.

The best os Siem Reap - This tour was amazing. I was able to see many different places, know a lot about the temples, its history and stories, but also how life is outside the city. Ngoun is the best! He knows everything about the places and does everything so that you have the best experience. Trully recommed this tour and Ngoun as tour guide.

Amazing two days - We had the most fabulous 2 days with Ngoun. He is so knowledgeable of the local area and Cambodia overall, incredibly friendly and his passion comes through with everything he does. Angkor Wat was very special, and Ngoun shared so much information about the whole of Angkor that we never could have picked up on our own. The second day, seeing the local villages and their way of life was amazing. This is a part of Cambodia we never would have had the privelege of seeing if not for Ngoun’s tour. Highly highly recommend!!

Simply amazing—for real! - Even after reading all the positive reviews about the company, I was skeptical about going on a 2-day tour with ACT (how could they be so good?!). But this tour exceeded my expectations. Mr. Chang (our guide) and Mr. Phana (our driver) were nothing short of fantastic. Mr. Chang is so proud and passionate about the Khmer culture to the point of being infectious; he knows all the best places and routes to visit the temples; he knows all the best places for photographs; he designs and times the route perfectly—sometimes if felt like we were the only people at some of the most famous places; and he is funny and witty. Mr. Phana was incredibly safe, made sure we were always hydrated, and had cool towels for us every single time we came back from visiting different temples. They pampered and took really good care of us. If you are in Siem Reap and want to learn about and visit Angkor and other temples, book this tour right now! P.S. Thanks for helping me celebrate such a memorable birthday, ACT! <3
