• Kusadasi - Upon exiting the cruise port, you’ll be greeted by your professional licensed local tour guide who will accompany you throughout your private tour, providing detailed information about each ruin you visit. We recommend meeting our team 30 to 45 minutes after your ship docks.
• Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - Visit the House of the Virgin Mary, where the mother of Jesus Christ spent her final years. Pope Paul VI visited the shrine in 1967 and ‘unofficially’ confirmed its authenticity. Pope John Paul II visited in 1979, and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006. During their visits, they left gifts that you can see during your tour.
• Ancient City of Ephesus - This UNESCO-listed site is one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Highlights include the Odeon, where music concerts were held; the Domitian Temple, one of the first temples dedicated to a human; the Celcus Library, the third-largest library of ancient times; the Amphitheatre, which could hold 24,000 people and where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians; Marble Street; Roman Baths; Fountains; Temples; Agora; Love House; Public Toilets; and the optional Terrace Houses, known for their beautiful mosaics and wall paintings.
• Ephesus Terrace Houses - Located on the northern slope of Bülbüldağı Hill, next to Curetes Street and opposite the Temple of Hadrian, the Terrace Houses complex consists of luxurious residential villas. Excavation began in 1960, and restoration is ongoing, with new discoveries each year.
• The Temple of Artemis - Dedicated to Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon, this ancient temple was built around 650 BC on a site already sacred to the Anatolian Mother Goddess, Cybele. Financed by the wealthy king of Lydia, the temple was constructed on marshy ground to protect against earthquakes.
• The Basilica of Saint John - Visible from a distance when visiting the Temple of Artemis, the Basilica of Saint John is believed to be the burial site of the Evangelist St. John, located on the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill.
• Kusadasi Shopping Center - Explore local handicrafts and enjoy shopping. Your local tour guide can provide information on the best traditional handicrafts, places to visit, and tips for a hassle-free experience.
• Kusadasi Castle - Also known as Pigeon Island, this is one of the earliest settlements of modern Kusadasi. We’ll pass by and view it from a distance. It’s located close to the port, so you may have time to visit after your tour if interested.
• Kusadasi - At the end of our tour, we will return to the cruise port.
