Excellent, comprehensive and customized private tour - This private tour was outstanding , exceeding even our high expectations. Our guide Volkan was friendly and very knowledgeable about the sights we visited. He was particularly skilled at arranging our itinerary to avoid crowds and the heat at open air sites. We saw more than we ever thought possible in a one afternoon cruise port stop. Booking the tour was easy and convenient and Ephesus Port Tours provided clear guidance on how to meet our tour guide. This is truly a private tour, with only my wife and I in a private airconditioned van. Our guide consulted us about the itinerary at every step of the way and customized the journey to meet our needs. All at this came at a price no more than a shorter group bus tour offered by our cruise ship. If you are coming to Kusadasi by cruise ship, this is the best Ephesus tour for you!

Highly recommend this private tour - Excellent guide! - We recently visited Ephesus during our Mediterranean cruise and it was amazing. Our family of five booked a private tour and it was worth every penny, and cheaper than going through the cruise line. Our guide (Gunaydin) was amazing - highly suggest requesting him. He met us as we got off the ship and took us to a very new, air conditioned bus, where the driver was waiting for us. During our drive to Ephesus, Gunaydin provided us with a lot of information about the area and it's history. Once at the attraction, he carefully navigated us through this historical site, highlighting several key points that probably would have gone unnoticed and was extremely knowledgable. He carefully moved us throughout the tour to avoid the crowds which provided us great photo opportunities. Once through the attraction he provided us with free time to shop and then offer to extend the tour to other sites (without any pressure) which we declined with the exception of one additional photo stop. At our drop off point, we asked him for some shopping advise and he immediately took us to a shop and spoke with store owner and we were well taken care of. A huge shout out to Gunaydin and this tour company. I highly recommend this tour and this guide.

The tour included 2-3 hours shopping trips unexpectedly - We took the Kusadasi tour (for cruise guests) to visit Ephesus' ancient city and Virgin Mary house. The tour guide was knowledgeable and energetic... However, the surprise was that this tour included 2-3 hours shopping trips (visiting carpet shops, leather shops..), we wanted to sit outside of the show rooms, but the tour guide was pushy, we had to get in and listen to those sales pitches. At the end of the tour, the tour guide asked everyone to leave positive reviews for the tour on the spot by using his mobile hotspot.. Overall, we enjoyed Ephesus, but disliked the unexpected shopping trips.
