Highlights
  • Kuşadası Port Türkiye - Your guide will meet you at the Cruise Port with a sign your name is written.
  • Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - The House of Virgin Mary where Mary had spent her last day, the Basilica of St. John where is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill
  • Ancient City of Ephesus - This enclosure for archaeological remains at Ephesus elegantly reconciles historic conservation with accessibility for visitors. The site of a succession of great ancient civilizations, Ephesus, on the south-west coast of modern Turkey, embodied a peculiarly fertile synthesis of architecture and culture. In 356BC the Greeks built the Artemesium (a colossal Ionic temple dedicated to Artemis the fertility goddess) which was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. During the 2nd century BC, Ephesus was the fourth largest city in the eastern Roman Empire, famous for its Artemesium, the Library of Celsus and its medical school..
  • The Temple of Artemis - Temple of Artemision in Ionia at Ephesus in Turkey, became one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was built in Ephesus on a flat area which has turned into a swamp over the centuries. Today there are only the ruins of this marvelous construction of the Hellenistic Age which was made of marble and sculptured columns. The most beautiful remainings of this temple are exhibited in the London British Museum.

The oldest remaining found dates back to 6th century BC. It was surrounded by 36 huge columns, later enlarged upon the orders of the Lydian King, Kreisos during the 6th Century BC. Most of the exhibits in the London British Museum belong to this period.

The new Artemis temple was built in the 2nd century BC. It was located on top of the previous one and had tremendous dimensions like 121 columns of each 17,5 meters high. Unfortunately this temple was destroyed by fire and reconstructed but then again demolished by earthquakes.

Great Experience - We were picked up right outside the cruise terminal and it was just our family of 6. The van was nice and large. Our guide shared her personal experiences and thoughts as we drove between sites. They paid for all our tickets up front and was nice enough to let us use a credit card at the end to pay for the everything. They provided lunch with authentic Turkish cuisine. With a little bit of extra time we went to a Turkish delights factory and dropped us off at a local shop to purchase Turkish leather items. Overall very happy since we could squeeze so much in since we had limited time due to our ship departure time.

Very happy we took this tour - Excellent tour, highly recommended. Nergis, our tour guide was just amazing. Very knowledgeable and such a joyful personality at the same time. Made the tour very pleasant and entertaining while learning a lot of history of Ephesus, Temple of Artemis and house of Virgin Mary. The tour ends in a weaving school of Turkish carpets, very interesting. They show you the process, great craftsmanship. They offer the opportunity to purchase rugs and Jewelry but no hard sales at all. I never felt like they were pushing, they just offer their products (beautiful BTW) and let you make your decision without any pressure. Lime lunch and drinks are provided. Our drive, Ali, had cold water and a very clean and comfortable Van. They also accommodated the tour to a change of schedule in the cruise shop. Very happy my wife and I took this tour. Very professional touring company and great tour guides and drivers.

Book this if you are a cruise guest! Small tour is so much better than charter bus tour! - Nagi was amazing! The organization from the start was wonderful. My name was on a board at port and when I grabbed it, she immediately introduced herself and showed us to the location where the van would meet us. We hit the 3 historical sites and she provided great insight at each stop. She ate the traditional Turkish lunch with us and explained each dish. We finished our day at the rug making school and it was incredible to learn about the rug making process from start to finish. Nagi was so sweet, offering different lengths of the tour and making sure we were enjoying our tour.
