- The Temple of Artemis - Your journey begins at The Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. This Greek temple, dedicated to the goddess Artemis, was constructed in the flatlands of Ephesus. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of this magnificent Hellenistic Age structure, which was entirely made of marble and adorned with sculptured columns featuring high-relief carvings.
- Ancient City of Ephesus - Next, you will explore the renowned ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, one of the most extensive and well-preserved archaeological sites in the world. Entering through the Magnesia Gate, you will embark on a leisurely downhill walk with your guide through the ruins of this former Roman provincial capital. Highlights of the tour include the Odeon Theater, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan, and the Great Theater, which seats 24,000 and is believed to be where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. The theater is still used today for a local spring festival.
- Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - After exploring Ephesus, you will take a lunch break before continuing to The House of Virgin Mary. This site is revered by both Christians and Muslims and is recognized by the Vatican as the place where the Virgin Mary spent her final days. It offers a serene environment for prayer and meditation.
- The Basilica of Saint John - The tour then takes you to the Basilica of St. John, built by Emperor Justinian over the tomb of St. John the Apostle. Although now in ruins, the Basilica once rivaled St. Sophia in size. Visitors can admire the remaining elegant columns and mosaics while enjoying panoramic views of the rural Selcuk countryside and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis.
- Ephesus Museum - The Ephesus Archaeological Museum, located in Selçuk near the ancient Greek city of İzmir, Turkey, houses artifacts from the nearby Ephesus excavation site. Its most famous exhibit is the ancient statue of the Greek Goddess Artemis, which was recovered from her temple in Ephesus.
