Highlights
  • Atma Alam Batik Village - Please note this attraction is closed on Tuesdays.

After being picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to Atma Alam Batik Art Village. Here, you can observe the traditional batik printing process using wax and dye. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase silk hand-pulled and locally crafted cloth.

Atma Alam Batik Art Village

Atma Alam Batik Art Village is a center dedicated to promoting the art of batik in Langkawi, designed to attract tourists. Located in Padang Matsirat, it was created by oil painter Aza Osman and batik artist Roshadah Yusof. The half-acre center showcases the creative spirit of batik.

  • Cenang Beach - Next, we will head to Cenang Street. Here, you can stroll along the beach, do some duty-free shopping, and visit Underwater World, one of the largest marine and freshwater aquariums in Southeast Asia.

Cenang Street

Pantai Cenang is the busiest beach town on Langkawi Island, featuring a variety of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and duty-free outlets along its scenic beach strip. Just a 10-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport, it’s a popular holiday spot for families, offering kid-friendly attractions like Underwater World Langkawi, Rice Garden Museum, and Kiki Club at Meritus Pelangi Resort & Spa.

  • Eagle Square - Then, we will proceed to Eagle Square, which features a 39-foot (12-meter) high eagle statue, the symbol of Langkawi. If you’re looking to buy duty-free alcohol, cigarettes, and chocolate, you can make a quick stop for shopping in Kuah Town.

Eagle Square (Dataran Helang)

Also known as Dataran Lang, Eagle Square is one of Langkawi’s most famous man-made attractions. The 12-meter-tall eagle statue, poised to take flight, is a sight that greets visitors arriving by ferry and is one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks.

  • Kuah - Kuah Town

Kuah Town is the largest city in the southeast of Langkawi’s main island. Unlike the busier beaches like Pantai Kok or Pantai Cenang, Kuah has less traffic. It’s a great place for shopping, with numerous duty-free shops lining the streets, making it a major draw for visitors.

After the tour, the driver will drop you back at your hotel.

Worth getting up early for! - Mangrove tour, however there was additional charge for this which should be mentioned in the details. Ram was fantastic and really knows the area, would highly recommend him.

Not worth doing - The driver was knowledgeable but for the money we could have hired a taxi to do the same thing to drive around to where the large eagle statue is. He took us to where the mangrove tours leave from and it seems was expected we do it. Not familiar with currency we went ahead then after we paid realised it cost around $A180. The mangrove tour was very good but could have done the whole thing from the ship for half the cost. A very expensive day and obviously the driver gets some sort of kickback from taking people to other stops on the way. We were not very happy.
