• Merdeka Square - Located opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and next to the Royal Selangor Club, Merdeka Square is where the Union Flag was lowered, and the Malayan Flag was raised for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. It has since been the site of the annual Merdeka Parade.
• The River of Life - The River of Life (ROL) is a seven-year initiative by the Malaysian government to transform the Klang River into a vibrant, livable waterfront with high economic value. Covering eight rivers over a total length of 110 km, the project is divided into three main components.
• Jamek Mosque - Officially known as Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, it is one of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest mosques. Located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak Rivers and accessible via Jalan Tun Perak, the mosque was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback and built in 1909. It served as the city’s main mosque and features Moorish architecture.
