Colourful city, excellent tour & drive - Super smooth pick up - private car, four travelling. Our driver was very good, calm and informative. He showed up a few sights, then left us, after we negotiated a meeting time of two hours.

It was worth the day trip - The trip was quite an experience to see the miles of oil palm and rubber trees which demonstrates Malaysia dominance in the production of those products. As Malacca is a UNESCO heritage city visits to the church of St Paul the temple and the square filled with historical accounts was interesting.

Must Visit Malacca - Great little place to visit. It was overdone touristy with the Hello Kitty type transportation, but a nice place to look around. Also did a little river excursion which provided a different aspect. Very colourful. Again we did this with a driver, so the day was well planned out.

Trip to Malaysia 2024 - One of the most memorable trips of 2024 was my two-week journey to Malaysia, and I’m still reminiscing about the experience! While the entire trip was amazing, the standout moment was my visit to Malacca. Malacca is a true gem, brimming with historical significance. Exploring its streets felt like a captivating journey through time. The rich blend of Portuguese, Dutch, and British influences is vividly reflected in its architecture and museums. I was particularly enchanted by historic landmarks like A Famosa Fort and the Stadthuys. Every corner of Malacca seemed to narrate a piece of its fascinating past. For anyone interested in history or eager to explore Malaysia's heritage, Malacca is a must-visit destination. The depth of historical value combined with its charming atmosphere made it an unforgettable highlight of my trip. Highly recommended!

historical flavour - Colonial flavor city full of colors and hidden corners to visit. Welcoming and particular. From the top of the fort you have a very nice view of the city

Tour Malacca, just be careful with whom… - A tour of Malacca to learn about its fascinating history is a must-do while in Malaysia. Unfortunately, we were assigned a guide, Zul, who was less invested in introducing us to Malacca and seemingly more concerned about taking us up on our offer that he join us for lunch. As a result, he pretty much cut our tour short. We were not taken to Jonker Street, not introduced to major historical buildings, and we were told to go into the museum on our own time despite that we had plenty of time to visit these places, among others. I regret that we didn’t take a firmer stance and insist we tour Malacca to the extent for which we paid $400. U.S. dollars. And yes, we learned that we were overcharged and ripped off, but that’s a whole other issue. Tour Malacca, but not with Zul.

Not a tour of Malacca but a silent driver who drops you off in Malacca with no info - I would not call this trip a tour in any sense - it’s purely a driver who takes you to Malacca in a small car, hands you a map once you’re there and then leaves you to explore for a few hours. I was hoping to at least learn some about Malacca. Our driver barely spoke English or explained anything, just drove us there and back. He filled up on gas with us halfway on the way there and then on the way back had to pull over for 10 minutes by a toll stop since he didn’t have enough money loaded. He made us do a river cruise at the end and took us to the ticket counter but we had to buy our own tickets (lol). He also asked us rudely what took us so long once we got off the boat, but we had to wait 30 minutes to board. Also, this tour company wanted me to take this review down but I’m attempting to resubmit.

A long pricy uber - The driver probably said 15 words the whole trip and dropped us off in Malacca with a map. Just a very pricy Uber from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca.

Waste of time and money visiting . Lost its charm. - So disappointing and I wouldn’t waste my considerable time getting there and money. We left KL late after picking up 3 other tourists from their hotel - start 0800 finish picking up 8:45. Traffic jams out of KL. Malacca is now like sideshow alley or a circus. Great for small children in the trishaws decorated like hello kitty or Spider-Man. The old Main Street is full of parked cars and traffic jam so quite dangerous with narrow footpaths full of pushing tourists. My advice…. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. It has lost the charm of our last visit in 1994.
