The driver will collect guests around 9 am from their hotel or the airport. The first destination is the Australian War Memorial, which honors approximately 2,700 Australian POWs who perished at the Sandakan POW camp and during the subsequent death marches through Sabah’s jungles.

The next stop is the Sandakan Central Market, renowned for its incredible selection of fresh seafood and agricultural products.

Following this, guests will proceed to Sim-Sim Water Village, where the houses are constructed close to the water’s surface, originally a narrow, uninhabited coastal strip of jungle and mangroves.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

After lunch, the tour continues to Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple, a landmark offering a breathtaking view over Sandakan Bay.

The final visit is to Agnes Keith House, the former home of the famous American writer of “Land Below the Wind” and “White Man Returns.” Today, the house is a heritage site offering fascinating insights into life during the British era.

After completing the sightseeing, the driver will drop guests off at their hotel in the town area or the airport, leaving them with cherished memories.
