The tour guide will collect guests from the hotel lobby at approximately 9:00 am to commence the tour.

The first stop will be the Penang State Museum. For many years, Penang residents advocated for a Museum & Art Gallery. In 1941, a small museum was established at St. Xavier’s Institution, but it was destroyed during the war.

Next, the tour will proceed to the Penang Heritage area in Georgetown, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

Following this, the tour will visit the Street of Harmony. Penang’s 18th-century town planners conveniently addressed the issue, and a brief walk along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, also known as the ‘Street of Harmony,’ showcases the town’s four main religions, offering a quick and easy tour of its diversity.

The tour will then visit Khoo Kongsi, a large Chinese clan house with intricate and highly decorated architecture, highlighting the significant Chinese presence in Penang, Malaysia.

Lunch will be enjoyed at a hawker center or Moslem Nasi Kandar.

The next destination is the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. The Peranakans, also known as the Babas and Nyonyas, were a prominent community of acculturated Chinese unique to this region, particularly in the Straits Settlements (Penang, Malacca, and Singapore). They adopted certain aspects of the local Malays and later, the colonial British, creating a unique lifestyle and customs. Their rich legacy of antiques and cultural influences, such as cuisine and language, remain evident in Penang today.

Afterward, the tour will move to the 3-D Interactive Museum. The Made In Penang Interactive Museum, as the name suggests, is a place where all things Penang come together. From famous personalities to delicious food, cultures of various races and ethnicities to world-renowned places around Penang, it is all here!

The next stop is Chew Jetty, offering a stroll through a living heritage community.

Finally, the tour will visit George Town Street Arts & Black wrought iron sculptures.
