Top team for Himalayan excursions - I went solo for the Kuari pass trek, but I was lucky enough to share the experience with a couple of very nice people. MTH 's team- led by Narayan- are well prepared and friendly. They showed us stunning views and the real lifestyle of Himalayan villagers , sometimes being invited for a restorative cup of chai by their own families . The mule guys-Govind, Kailash and Raj- were also confident and cooperative. The tents were comfortable and warm . The food - cooked by Manoj- always abundant and very tasty . We have also been offered a visit to the magic temple of Badrinath as a bonus. Finally the driver -Sandeep- skillfully drove us back to Rishikesh . We always felt looked after and safe. I definitely recommend MTH for treks and adventure.

Kuari Pass - Our Kuari Pass trek with Mapping the Himalayas was full of adventure and fresh air. Kalyan was very flexible as our plans changed last minute. His communication was excellent. Narayan was an excellent guide. He was patient, kind and motivating. When the legs ached he distracted us with stories of Lord Shiva and when we felt cold camping he brought us hot chai. The freshly prepared food was delicious in particular the aloo jeera and muttar paneer. Chapatti made fresh every day. The team (Narayan, Manoj, Rajbar, Govind, Kailash & Sandeep) were like a family. We encouraged each other and we laughed. The Kuari Pass is breath-taking, beautiful snow capped mountains that stretch out for miles. It was wonderful to be there with Narayan and Mapping the Himalayas team.

Can’t go wrong with Kuari Pass and Mapping the Himalayas - This trek is wonderful: beautiful views of nature and beautiful villages across the way. It seems like one of those treks that will become really popular in the future, now being the perfect time to enjoy it without the fuss that may come to happen very shortly. The photos could tell you much of what you need to know, so I will emphasize the aspects that make me think that Mapping the Himalayas is the right choice for the job. Kaly, the manager, was from the beginning very gentle and always responsive to any doubt that inevitably appears when planning such a long trip. Ankush, the guide, was a good surprise: he is the sweetest guy I have ever met and showed at every moment great enthusiasm for the mountains and nature! Also he treated villagers, adults and children, and animals in the most touching way. Undoubtedly, a great human being, albeit being so young. Being guided by him also gave the possibility of interacting with the villagers, as the guy seems to be liked by everyone around there. Rahul made each day the best indian dishes we have ever tasted, which is quite surprising given the circumstances. Also, he took great photos of us and was always very prone to helping us in every way he could. Vikram, the porter, was really a very nice guy, also: very capable of the hard work demanded, and at the same time extremely gentle to us and everyone we met. Finally, Mohan Rana was a very competent driver and helped a lot at the camping sites, collecting wood, making fire, etc. All the guys were always laughing and being with them made camping and trekking even better experience. Thanks a lot for everything, Mapping the Himalayas! I an sure we will meet again in the future!
