Night Tours are an extra special way to enjoy wildlife viewing in Bako National Park. Once you have tick the encounters with wildlife of Bako National Park during the day, than it’s time to venture in seek of Nocturnal animals. These animals tend to come out at night time , including popular proboscis monkeys , langurs and macaque, bearded wild boar , the flying lemur and pit viper. As most species of monkeys are diurnal , they generally sleep at night. As the tour start just before sun set, we get to observe the monkeys retrieving to the forest canopy bed logs. Monkeys unlike their counter parts primates don’t build nests , instead they take up whatever space in most convenient on a tree branch. During the night walks we go in search of insects, frogs, centipedes , scorpions, spiders and pit viper. Pit Viper is a venomous snake (green color with yellow underbelly) , as it is arboreal and an excellent climber, often remaining completely still to ambush prey such as small mammals.
