Kubah National Park, located on a quaint sandstone tableland near Kuching, is ideal for a relaxing day excursion. It features pristine streams complemented by numerous small waterfalls and natural pools. While predominantly covered in mixed dipterocarp forest, the park harbors a fantastic array of palms and orchids, making it one of Borneo’s richest ecosystems. Wildlife ranging from bearded pigs, mouse deer, black hornbills to various amphibians and reptiles inhabit the park, although they usually remain conceal in the deeper forest parts and are not easily spotted. The charm of Kubah National Park derives from its rainforest landscapes, cascading waterfalls, brooks, and natural bathing pools alongside the impressive diversity of 93 palm species it hosts.
