Very nice experience! Recommended! - The Sarawak Cultural Village is absolutely worth to visit! Very nice and interesting place! Also the Semenggoh Orangutan Center, while you should be aware of the timing of when they feed the Orangutan to try to see them.

A tour that captures the beauty of both the cultural and natural heritage of Sarawak - I was worried that Sarawak Cultural Village would be a place that was too contrived or exploitative...but was wowed as it really showcased Sarawak's diverse cultures beautifully, culminating in a scintillating hour-long performance. Lunch wasn't included but the food at the in-house restaurant was really good and at very fair prices. While I have seen many orangutans in zoos, seeing them in the wild at Semenggoh in the afternoon was a completely different experience. It was fascinating (and heartbreaking at times) hearing the stories of the different orangutans. Our guide Dorrita was knowledgeable about both places. Being from the Iban tribe herself, she was particularly well-placed to shed light on many aspects of tribal culture.

An Unforgettable Experience - This was a wonderful day. I had the best guide ever. My guide was Antoni. He was very knowledgeable and gave me tips on how to take pics of the Orangutans. he made sure I was in the right place to see them when they come to feed. I got great pictures. When we went to the Culture Center, he explained all of the exhibits in each of the houses, and told me about his childhood experiences using many of the tools that we saw. I highly recommend this experience and I hope you get Antoni as your guide. Also he is a great picture taker!!

Good fun - Great day out. The village was lovely and our guide very friendly and informative. We were lucky to see an orangutan at feeding time - apparently this is always the case and we hadn’t appreciated we were only at the park fir feeding time.

Great way to get a glimpse of Sarawak Culture - We had a lovely time on this tour - great way to get a brief understanding of the Sarawak Native Culture. Mr kent, our guide, was very informative and attentive. He explained us the tribal rituals and characteristics well. Dont miss the performance at the end. We were also lucky to see a mother Chimpanzee and her two babies at the Orangutan center but not much to explore there otherwise

An amazing and wonderful tour. Thoroughly recommend! - We had an awesome day. My daughter and I were lucky to be the only ones on tour as I guess the country has only started opening up after 2 and a half years of lockdown from foreign visitors. Our guide, Alex Wee, was a walking encyclopaedia who knew everything about the flora and fauna, history and the various tribes of Sarawak. We learned so much about the orangutans and we were fortunate enough to see 5 of them, including a baby! Although artificially created for tourists, the Sarawak Cultural Village was a great way to learn about the different tribes of Sarawak and everyone at the park was so friendly and genuinely eager to show you their culture and heritage. 2 nice ladies took the time to play with and teach my daughter how to play congkak, the traditional Malay game. I would thoroughly recommend Mangunatip Holidays and hope you’ll be lucky enough to get Alex as your guide.

Greedy Company so we missed out seeing the Show at the Cultural Village - Orangutang experience was good although a 7.30am pick up instead of 8am. Due to Company being greedy we then dropped guests back to the hotel in Kuching which meant we got to the cultural centre at 11.40am and missed the 11.30am show. Had lunch and wandered round the Cultural village which was quite good but guide was trying to make it all last and go slow because the next show was 4pm and that would mean not back into Kuching until nearly 6pm. Given we'd left the hotel at 7.30am that morning we had to miss the show.
