Semenggoh Rehabilitation Center serves as a provisional sanctuary for orangutans rescued from captivity or orphaned at a young age. Here, they are taught to survive in their natural environment by learning food foraging and nest-building techniques. Many have been reintegrated into the nearby areas. Visitors can walk the trails and try to spot these semi-wild orangutans. Daily feeding times are scheduled at the feeding platform.
Just 24KM from Kuching City, you can find the Sarawak Cultural Village, an acclaimed ‘living’ museum located over a 17-acre site at the base of Mount Santubong.
