Came to Kuching expressly for this experience ! - I came to Kuching expressly to see this Orangutan Centre and was not disappointed. I booked through "Ooo Haa Adventure Tours" and the cost was 125RM. Collected from Ranee Hotel (this was close to where I was actually staying) in a minivan with 6 other travelers. Takes minimum of about 45 minutes to get there and the guide arranges your entry ticket and a ride on a motor train to get to the feeding site. After a brief introductory talk by a ranger the food is laid out on a feeding platform, and you wait in anticipation. We saw 5 orangutans (very large male, a smaller male, a juvenile male and a mother and baby - OMG - so excited and privileged. Apparently, it is sometimes very "hit and mis" as to whether the animals indulge us with their presence and the people who came for the morning feeding session only saw 2 orangutans (but two is infinitely preferable to none). No complaints about anything - I loved the experience and was thankful to/for the Ooo Haa Adventure Tour.

Fantastic Experience, definitely recommend - Fantastic experience. Communication was Good. Our Driver was amazing. He told us so much information about Semenggoh and Kuching. We saw two Orangutans, they came so close to us. Definitely worth the money

Fantastic. - We were in the afternoon in the moment Jn where orangutans were fed to get them out of the jungle Although the thing was a bit piloted it was beautiful, with the heat they struggle to get out and so they have to attract a little Exciting!

Semenggoh Orangutan centre Kuching - We were so lucky to see so many Orangutans… it can be a hit or a miss. Kuching is a beautiful city and I recommend a visit to this park while you are there

Impressive close-up of orangutans - Unforgetable experience. Although it was not the best time to see orangutans, we were very lucky and saw two, one of them the dominant male, which was impressive. Fantastic option to return in the afternoon with the same ticket!! Animals are respected and we try to make them feel good and people do not overwhelm them. Unforgettable opportunity to get close to orangutans.

Ok - You can see the orangutans but it feels only semi-wild as they are called in each day. They are also quite far away.

Short visit with oranges - The work done there by the rangers and the organization is great! They set clear rules about how you should behave and they enforce them! We were lucky and were able to observe several orangs, even a mother with her young. It was just a shame that all the trails were closed, it wasn't stated why. You could only move on the road and enter a path with the rangers.

Orangutan Sanctuary - The orangutan park was great however the bus picked us up late then we drove around Kuching picking up other visitors for another hour. We arrived gone 230 when the slot was 2-4. Much cheaper and efficient to get a Grab or taxi and pay 35RM for entry yourself. We were an hour away which was quite far but wouldn't have been as bad if we hadn't had to drive around Kuching.

Very disappointed. Could be better - Very disappointing visit. Whilst there is no guarantee of seeing the gorgeous orangutans we sit through a 20 minute briefing on the do’s and dont’s and then it falls flat because no orangutan in site. Having been to Sepilok we felt this was a waste of time and money. All there was, was a small presentation video room and a few photos - not even a shop to buy stuff, though there was a stall seller in car park. They should make this a more interesting centre if you are unable to see an orangutan. Felt so flat and will not go again.
