Additional Information

Do you want to see the more authentic side of Chiang Mai?

Trek in an intimate group, allowing a relaxed pace and maximum enjoyment of Trad Monk waterfall.

Explore the key river of a Northern Thai village at your own pace in a river tube, the first and only of its kind in Chiang Mai, with a guide who has grown up and lived his whole life in this area. Observe Thai elephants and water buffalo bathing and playing together in the river - truly the most ethical interaction with these creatures - and without obstructing their way of life in any way, you feel close with them. Your guide is an ex-elephant sanctuary caretaker and can offer interesting inside knowledge about these creatures.

See the secluded spot of Sa Gee waterfall, not usually frequented by travelers. You will experience the local, quiet side of Chiang Mai province.

After all of this, you can enjoy a homely lunch at our cosy base camp and hot tea and snacks to warm you up, before we take you back home.

Outstanding fun - 5 stars as per every other review. Bang went above and beyond to ensure a fun and exciting time for me and my 11 year old son. I dropped my shirt crossing a running river and Bang found it the next day and returned it to my hotel. What a star!

Highlight of the trip! - This outing became one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. Bang took us through the jungle, made sure we kept pace, and made it through to the waterfalls. We were able to see elephants up close and feed them. The waterfall slide was quite the experience as well. My parents are in their 60’s and were able to keep up with the pace and trek. It was such an amazing experience.

An absolute MUST in Chiang Mai! - This tour was amazing! Could've just stayed for the hang with Bang, an incredibly friendly, knowledgeable man who took us out even though it was pouring rain! The scenery is straight out of Jurassic Park and we were treated to majestic hikes, beautiful waterfalls, super fun waterfall-slides and a really special tubing experience through the many ethical elephant sanctuaries of Bang's home town. Five stars isn't enough!

Wonderful unique experience. A relaxing way to see elephants from the river! - Wonderful day experience with 3 great and unique activities. The hike to the waterfall was wonderful and Bang, our guide, pointed out the local fauna and wildlife. After each activity you return to the base camp. The camp has clean toilets, warm showers and lockers to leave your belongings during the activities. Waterproof cases for phones and towels were also provided. We were given a delicious Pad Thai for lunch and free water or lemon soda throughout the day. The tubing was very relaxing even in the rain and the highlight was definitely seeing the elephants and water buffalo!

A must experience in Chiang Mai - We went on this fantastic tour with Bang, our guide. Very well organised, he came to pick up us up in Chiang Mai. Went to a fantastic waterfall after an easy treking. We had lunch in the camp base, and snacks water fruit...And the tubing...if you have the chance to do it, don't miss it. Such a great experience, going down the river, with Bang, enjoiying the nature, the elefants, the water buffalos. Thanks Bang for such a lovely day.

The trip that has everything! - We all had a great time! Fun, varied, personalised.. couldn't ask for more from a trip that has everything. Lunch was great, and the extra touches around snacks, showers and pick up from hotel. We learnt a lot about Thai culture whilst enjoying water slides, tubing, elephants and water buffalo-all in one day. Thanks to Bang for being an amazing host !

Super trip and family all loved it - Fantastic trip! The whole family really enjoyed it. Pick-up from hotel and a really enjoyable trek to a waterfall. Our guide was local to the area and knew all about the flora and fauna. Lunch was the best pad thai we have had in Thailand. Our kids loved the waterfall slide after lunch and then a great 90 minutes tubing down the river with some great views of elelphants playing in the water which we stopped and watched for about 20 minutes. Water and soft drinks provided free and the facilities (showers, toilets etc all clean). Would highly recommend and it was probably our favorite trip in Chang Mai.

Wonderful and unique nature experience in Chiang Mai - Wonderful and unique experience with professional guides. Short trekking to a secluded waterfall where you can swim and have a waterfall massage. Lunch back at the base camp followed by waterfall sliding. Relaxing afternoon tubing down the river enjoying a cold beer and watching the elephants and water buffalo on the banks. Finish off with elephant feeding at an ethical sanctuary. The guides are passionate about their area and love to share that with their guests. Would highly recommend!
