Explore the stunning dry-moist forest and spot various birds like the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller, and Asian Openbill. Occasionally, you might also catch a glimpse of Gaurs or Leopards. Please note before booking: These elephants roam freely in the Wildlife National Park, not in a zoo or animal garden. There is a 95% chance of seeing elephants in their natural habitat, but sightings cannot be guaranteed with 100% certainty. You may see them from afar or just a few hundred meters away. Additionally, there are many other wildlife species to observe, such as birds and gaurs.

Aside from Asian elephants and gaurs, a multitude of other mammals reside here, including golden jackals, several types of deer, langurs, white-handed gibbons, Burmese hares, Malay porcupines, and wild boars. Kui Buri is home to a robust bird population, currently boasting over 260 species. These include crested falcons, grey peacock pheasants, ferrous partridges, Tickell’s brown hornbills, white-crowned hornbills, brown fish owls, yellow-ventilated green pigeons, white-fronted dwarf-eared owls, mustache hawks, red-necked hornbills, blue-collared parrots, chestnut-nickel fork tails, red-bearded bee-eaters, maroon woodpeckers, alongside birds like the Crested Fireback, Indian Roller, and Asian Openbill bird, not to mention gaurs and leopards.

A+ experience - Elephants were beautiful and there was many of them there.
There were also different kind of birds and buffalo.
Tour guides were very helpful and professional.

Great afternoon elephant and buffalo watching - We got super star Bobby as our private guide and he was awesome. Very informative from start to finish on local Hua Hin and then the national park.. We had a great afternoon topped off by following a herd of 6 elephants incl a 4 week old cub. Great to see these rangers passionately protecting the wild elephants and buffalo.
The day finished with a local family resturant serving super Thai food.

Amazing experience - We had a private tour and was a amazing experience from start to finish . Service was excellent . We were picked up from our hotel , on time . Our guide Bobby was very professional but friendly and informative . They took every opportunity inside the park to find the elephants for us and we were not disappointed as we saw around 11 , including a baby one ! The meal after was delicious and they let you sit on your own to enjoy . Overall worth every penny and excellent service .

A truly memorable safari - This was a really special trip. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable van by our driver Mr. Yonk. The drive to the park was easy and pleasant, and then we transferred to an open safari truck to drive through the park. It was very quiet in the park the day we visited - hardly any visitors at all.
Looking at previous reviews, and based on my own experience of wildlife safaris in Africa, it's clear that you need a moderate slice of luck to be able to see the elephants - after all they are wild animals living in a big national park not a zoo enclosure - but the success rate seems to be pretty high overall.
And we got really lucky. The first indication that we would have a lucky day was almost as soon as we entered the park we saw a great many hornbills flying overhead and through the trees. Apparently this is quite unusual - they are more usually seen later in the day, on leaving the park. We also saw other beautiful birds, such as a kingfisher.
Within a few minutes we caught our first glimpses of a group of elephants, and as we tracked them we eventually ended up in the perfect spot, where we were able to exit the vehicle and view them pretty close-up on foot for at least 30 minutes. The landscape in the park is truly spectacular, and even though I've been lucky enough to see elephants in Africa up close many times, this was a uniquely beautiful experience that I won't forget, seeing these majestic and serene animals in this paradise.
We also saw large numbers of gaur, which are also majestic and fascinating animals in their own right, but the elephants are certainly the stars of the show here.
This was a really memorable trip that exceeded expectations.
We also hired the same company to take us on a long excursion from our hotel on check-out day to Ayutthaya, and then onwards to the airport. Again they were outstanding with kind and professional service. Mr Yonk also took lots of photos on both days - both with my camera for family group shots, and with his own phone, which he shared with me afterwards. He really helped me get a great collection of memorable images from the two days.

Elephants in their natural habitat - We were picked up from our hotel by our guide Bobby. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Kuiburri Park and the elephants. When we arrived we transferred onto an open back truck and began our journey around the park.
We were very lucky to see 2 mums with babies and other elephants.
The rangers were brilliant at maneuvering the trucks to make sure that everyone was able to see.
I really wanted to find somewhere that actually was a sanctuary for elephants. Not a chain, hook or mahut in sight.. this place is it! You are told that you may not see any elephants but I was happy in the knowledge that this meant they were roaming free.
When the tour was over we transferred back to our air conditioned mini bus and was taken for our evening meal. The food was delicious
I would like to thank Bobby for an amazing day. He was brilliant 👏

Epic stuf - Bobby is an amazing guide! Very interesting stories, nice park and we saw 21 elephants, birds and cows.
Very very recommended mostly if you ask for Bobby!

Stunning park - highly recomended - Amazing experience, only an hour's drive from Hua Hin. Well managed National Park, where the public is allowed only with staff within a fraction of the area of 969 km2 to protect the wildlife. Even then, we were told that chances of seeing elephants and their local gaur (buffalo-like animal) were great. We were not disappointed, and saw both at a respectful distance.
Our guide, Yonk, was extremely friendly and knowledge, building on 10 years' experience.
The park itself is stunning, and gave us a strong fealing of inner peace.

A peaceful, fascinating encounter with forest elephants. - A great experience, saw two separate matriarchal herds and a lone bull. The Guar were an added bonus. Highly recommended tour company- outstanding service.

Great trip to Nationalpark, below standard dinning possibility - Nice trip, great careful driver, informative guide for the Nationalpark. The restaurant for dinner doesn‘t correspond to the level of the rest of the trip. Average, not Thai food, situated next to the highway, with a mediocre setting. It just doesn‘t add up.
