This captivating four-day photo tour marries the enchanting landscapes of Yunnan’s natural wonders with its rich, ancient culture. Starting from the capital, Kunming, you’ll journey to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stone Forest, a sprawling region scattered with Karst formations. Your next pitstop will be the globally renowned Yuanyang Rice Terraces and the delightful old town of Jianshui. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Yuanyang’s Rice Terraces and its Hani ethnic minority, magnetizes a multitude of photography enthusiasts year-round. Particularly during Autumn, as the rice ripens, it transmutes the landscape. During winter, the terraces brim with water, each one mirroring the heavens above, creating ethereal scenery that varies with the day’s light. Undeniably, the optimal time to visit Yuanyang is from December to March.
