In the morning, the driver and tour guide will pick up guests from their hotel (within the second ring road of Kunming) and head to the Western Hill. On the western hills, cultural temples blend with natural cliffs, Taoist grottos, flowers, and forests. Particularly when passing through the stone corridor carved into the cliff face, one can truly appreciate the challenging and dangerous work it must have been to construct all of this. Visitors can explore a large Taoist Grotto near the dragon gate and enjoy a panoramic view of Kunming from the mountain top.
Dounan Flower Market is the largest fresh flower trade market in China. It boasts over 66 categories of flowers and trades more than 300 varieties daily. From this market, over 280 tons of fresh flowers are exported worldwide by road, train, or plane. At the market, visitors can learn how to arrange seasonal flowers and perhaps even discover a hidden talent. At the end of the day, the tour will return to Kunming.
