Journey to Makaibari (1554m) and Trek to Kuri Village (3447m):

Kuri Village - The Kalinchowk trek commences from Makaibari, which is accessible after a 5–6-hour drive from Kathmandu along the Arniko highway, offering stunning countryside vistas.

The town is flanked by the Sunkoshi and Khimti Rivers to the west and east. To the northeast and west lie the mesmerizing Rolwaling and Gauri Shankar Himal. Besides being the entry point to the Kalinchowk region, Charikot is the oldest Newari town, maintaining its cultural heritage to this day. Nearby attractions include the Dolkha Bhimeshwar temple, the oldest in town, Kotihom, Mahangkal, and Pashupati.
