Mountain tour Kazbegi and Gudauri. - After we liked the Cave Tour and Martvili Canyon in Kutaisi so much, we booked another tour in Tbilisi (14.05.2024). It was the "KAZBEGI & GUDAURI Day Tour from Tiflis". Once again, our expectations were more than exceeded.
We were lucky that a third person decided to do the tour and so the tour could start the next day. Giorgi was a great tour guide. Again, we learned a lot about the sights and history of Georgia. You can tell that the guides have a lot of fun doing their job. There was a stop at a very good restaurant on the way back. Unfortunately, the weather did not play along, it was snowing and very foggy. Once again, we can highly recommend Budget-Georgia.

Scenic tour of Gudauri and Kazbegi - I had a wonderful experience with Budget Georgia on their scenic tour of Gudauri and Kazbegi. The driver, Tornike, was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He drove safely and smoothly on the mountain roads, and he shared interesting facts and stories about the places we visited. He also took great photos of us at the stunning viewpoints. The tour was well-organized, comfortable, and affordable. I highly recommend Budget Georgia and Tornike to anyone who wants to explore the beautiful nature and culture of Georgia.

Journey of a Lifetime: the wonders of Kazbegi - It's a long 10-12 journey on the road, spending 3-4 hours with your feet on the ground, but is WORTH.
While the day leaves you knackered, opportunities like this come once in life. It's a day trip that will stay in your memory, for a lifetime
Our guide was a real star, bringing to life the rich Georgian history.
And our driver? An absolute ace, navigating the roads with more finesse than Fernando Alonso!
Each stop was a standout: the tranquil Zhinvali Water Reservoir, the imposing Ananuri Castle, the breathtaking Gudauri Viewpoint, and the awe-inspiring Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti.
The Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti, with its commanding views of Mount Kazbegi, is a true marvel. Despite the cloudy skies, the stunning scenery captivated us completely.

Kazbegi tour from Kutaisi - The tour was just amazing, it took about 13h but each hour was really worth it. Our Tour Guide - Saba, answered every question and told us a lot about Georgian history and culture. We spent fantastic day surrounded by local nature, architecture, and culture. I will recommend tour with Budget Georgia everyone.

Rushed and not worth the time - Summary: Despite reading good reviews, I had higher expectations for this tour. While the views were very scenic, everything felt rushed, and I barely had any time to explore (my feet literally touched the ground for a maximum of 1 hour during this day trip). I understand that covering a long distance is necessary, so I would suggest either starting the tour earlier or considering removing it from your tours altogether. SAFETY OF PASSENGERS AND PROVIDING MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES SHOULD BE A PRIORITY.
Further thoughts:
Safety: I was genuinely shocked to discover that the airbag in the car wasn't working. Traffic in Georgia can be chaotic at times, and with the speeding and manoeuvring around other cars, it made me feel very unsafe—especially when the driver was also talking on the phone.
Nazuki Bread: According to the description, the first stop meant to be a visit to see how Nazuki bread is made and taste it. Unfortunately, we missed this experience. I was genuinely curious to witness the process and see behind the scenes (at least that's how I understood it from the description). After expressing my disappointment, the tour organiser called the driver, and we made a stop on the way back to "buy" the bread on the street.
Lunch break: to my surprise, our lunch "break" took place in a supermarket even after confirming with the tour operator it will be enough time for a lunch break. It's advisable to have something with you to eat during the tour.

Do not trust them. - The tour company messaged 1 day before saying they can’t do the tour and that they need extra money if we want to go.
I had booked 5 weeks before. Confirmed on message as well. My plans before and after were also booked and therefore I did not have a flexible schedule like most travellers.
Ultimately they took an extra 90 GEL and instead of a group tour they did a private taxi transfer instead. there was no guide, no one to explain anything. Just a cab driver who did not even understand English and who just took us to the same places in the itinerary
Very bad experience.
