Additional Information

Setting off from Øystese, we traverse the Hardangerfjord section Samlafjord, circling the picturesque fjord island before entering the distinctive fjord terrain of the Fyksesund fjord branch.

Fyksesund is the only fjord branch off the Hardangerfjord without a linked road to its inner portion. On the final 5 km of the 10.5 km long fjord, you’ll get to sail between towering mountainsides and various close proximity waterfalls, leading to the remote village, Botnen. This is a geographically secluded community with a rich and thrilling history associated with its cultural interactions with the outside world.

During the journey, our well-informed and experienced guide and captain will make numerous stops allowing plenty of opportunities to appreciate this stunning landscape. You’ll be regaled with intriguing facts and tales from the region.

Best RIB safari ever - This was a great trip. We went the whole tour. 2,5 hours, that included a short stop and a trip ashore in Botnen. A small local community with only one housing left. The owner and guide was great. Had some short stop on the way with interesting information on the fjords and sites we passed. On the way back he really put full throttle and gave us a great ride. So this gives you both information about the fjord and places as well as the real deal when it comes to ride a Rib. We are already taking about taking some fried s back for a ride.
