The river is teeming with remarkable birdlife, and there is an opportunity to spot crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbank.
Please be aware that the water in River Ramisi is not clear (due to the mangroves), making it unsuitable for snorkeling. This excursion is peaceful and relaxing.
A stop at the sandbank ensures visitors are at the most picturesque spot on the coast for swimming and enjoying this little slice of paradise. (Remember to bring sunscreen, swimsuits, towels, and beach sandals).
Following the boat trip, guests can visit Funzi Village, where they can explore the market, and see the houses and schools. (This is optional for those who wish to participate)
Afterwards, the journey continues to Funzi Restaurant, where seafood delicacies paired with Swahili dishes are served. A sample of the seafood specialties includes crab, grilled fish, and coconut rice or chips. For those who prefer non-seafood options, chicken or beef is available. Vegetarian dishes are also provided upon request.
