Wasini - The day starts with a pickup from the designated hotel at approximately 7:30 am. The journey from Diani to Shimoni takes about an hour. During the drive to the historic fishing village of Shimoni, there is an opportunity to observe rural villages, sugar cane plantations, towering palm trees, and lush greenery.
Upon arrival, a guide will meet the group and lead them to the Shimoni Piers to board a traditional Swahili Dhow for a cruise to Kisite Marine Park. Refreshments such as soft drinks, water, beer, and fruits are available on board.
While cruising through the ocean, there is a 90% chance of spotting dolphins. Snorkeling offers a chance to admire the vibrant marine life, including corals, exotic fish, and sea plants. During low tides, a sandbank emerges, providing a perfect spot for relaxation and sunbathing.
After snorkeling and swimming, the group sails to the mainland for lunch at an open restaurant with a stunning beachfront view. After lunch, there is an option to rest for about 15 minutes before visiting the slave caves, where slaves were held during the old slave trade. This tour lasts about 15-20 minutes.
Departure from Shimoni is around 3:30 pm or sometimes later. Guests are then returned to their hotel.

Wonderful Wasini Experience - We took a trip to the Island and crossed over with a boat to the mainland. Seeing the dolphins was an absolutely amazing experience. The locals we encountered were very friendly as we took a walk along the trails where we saw some nice historical views. We also had a local swahili lunch that entailed a variety of seafood which was the highlight of the day!

It is a dolphin watching place and snokling. - A wasini Island day tour from Diani is unmissable for marine life enthusiasts and snokling lovers. It's also the only place you can go for dolphin tour in Diani, near the kisite mpunguni marine park. Lunch at the nearby wasini Island allow you to explore cuisine and learn more about the community ways of living.

A Must Do Tour!!!!!!! - I had such a wonderful day! If you're considering booking this tour, I highly recommend that you go for it! Everyone involved with Coral Spirit was fantastic. Jay and the other team members were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They pointed out different fish in the water, ensured we had enough to drink, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. The homemade lunch was amazing, and the entire experience was perfectly planned. The waters are stunning, the boat ride was enjoyable, and everyone was very friendly. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! The next time I'm in Diani, I will definitely book another Coral Spirit tour— the quality is truly unmatched! Thanks so much for a great day!

The perfect day! - This trip was the heart of my Diani beach experience. My day trip to Wasini Island was run by a family (Juma MBaruk Reje) We went snorkeling. They were excellent caring guides! It was my first time snorkeling and it was amazing. The trip is well worth your day. The food was outstanding. I felt emotional when it was over and wanted to do it again.

Would recommend - picked up on time and driven to the boat by a friendly and informative team. The boat had a crew of 3, 2 of which were brothers. They took us to the snorkelling and on the way we saw many dolphins who swam right up the side of the boat. We then were taken snorkelling and you could tell the staff really valued our safety, taking a life bouy out with him just in case. We saw a wide array of marine life, such as octopus, eels, starfish, and many other aquatic animals. After snorkelling we were given fresh fruit snd drinks. We then stopped for a traditional Kenyan meal which was delicious. After we stopped at the old slave caves. The tour did not last long but was informative, and when they pump the rest of the cave out I can imagine it’ll be a great tour. Taken back to our accommodation and we all agreed that it was a great day. Would recommend for sure.

Very nice excursion - All right, the team was great and so was the outing.
One detail, however, was that the guide would speak French, whereas this was not the case. It's not really a problem but it wasn't what was indicated

Finally the dolphins!!! - Departure from Diani with a local operator who picks us up at the hotel and takes us to the Marine Park of the island of Wasini. Very exciting day, with a beautiful snorkeling session on the coral reef, a bit of relaxation on the nearby islet (dream!) and a typical lunch of fish and local dishes. On the way back we also saw a family of dolphins! What a thrill! The only out of tune note, the long time you spend sailing to and from the reef, you basically stay out about 6/7 hours to do an hour of snorkeling/beaching. For the rest all nice, I would definitely do it again

Disappointment - Drive a little long, very bad organization, too long by boat to see the backs of some dolphins. Only an hour of snorkling with uninteresting funds. Meal bof!. Doesn't deserve a visit.

A poor experience - Poor experience. Advised by the backpacker's guide (who generally gives good advice), we booked a day trip to Wasini. We already had to contact them on WhatsApp because there was no return on our reservation. On the boat, divers (diving) and snokerlers were mixed (which never happens). Little room on a boat full of both people and equipment. We were squeezed into an uncomfortable boat on which we could hardly move. Waiting time for the various people to equip themselves... On the way out (which we didn't understand) we sailed for an hour then turned around to find ourselves in another place... In short, a crossing far from the scheduled time. Fairly poor seabed. Only lunch was relatively pleasant. In short, we have done excursions like this in other countries, and this is the first time that it has been so unpleasant despite a friendly crew. The price is also well beyond the service.
