a trip interesting even for children. I recommend - the weather was a bit bad, even the dolphins were hiding from us, but the trip was great. people in the village of Wasini friendly. The snorkeling was amazing. I recommend only paying attention to the weather 😉

Great snorkelling and dolphin watching - I happened to find these guys on a google search. I wasn’t sure how good the service would be, but honestly speaking they were brilliant. They gave us a great price for a private dhow. We had a great time snorkelling. My kids have snorkelled all over the world and they said this was right up there with the best. They swam with huge fish and stingrays. We also saw many dolphins swimming around our boat. Our guide muhammad was a really nice and helpful guy. And the captain and his young helper served us fresh watermelon and pineapple. Our tour included simple lunch at wasini island. It was fresh and tasty. I would recommend a visit to the island to understand the basic lifestyle of the islanders. These people are very poor, live without water and electricity. so please don’t listen to other reviewers who are expecting luxury and criticise the island for not looking like something out of a movie. I would definitely go again.

A great day - Great tour! It took us an hour to get from Diani Beach to the boat. We saw some dolphins and took some great photos. Snorkeling was available as needed, the crew looked after everyone very well. Delicious lunch with a choice of fish, chicken and vegetarian. Lots of side dishes were also served.

Boat trip - The boat team were great bunch. Made the day fun even with the rain. Great scenic drive both by sea and road. Would recommend.

Very disappointing - Overall not a great experience. We booked an outing on a dhow and got a lifeboat. The group was half Europeans and half Kenyans, and the guide explained everything minutely in Swahili, and only gave the other half of the group a few sparse words. For obvious reasons, plastic water bottles were not permitted - but there was no drinking water at all available during the 4-hour trip. The boat ride was still enjoyable, and we did get to see a pair of dolphins, which was nice. At the start of the tour, life jackets were handed out, but there weren't enough for everyone (!). When we finally reached the snorkeling location, there weren't enough masks for everyone (!). Three or four of the group were non-swimmers (why would you go on a snorkeling trip if you can't swim??), and they were each helped by the guide - very nice for them, but the rest of the people had to stay in the boat, as each of them got 30 minutes in the water with assistance. That's when the lack of water really became a problem (after you spent time in the rough seas and swallowed a lot of salt!). We were then asked if we wanted to exchange the free meal offer with a seafood platter - which we did (4000 Ksh). When we arrived at the lunch location, we had to wade through mud and rubbish to get to steps leading up to the lunch place. These steps were extremely slippery and uneven, and offered no handholds. Going up, we really worried about coming back down! At the "restaurant" and I use the term loosely, we were then presented with our seafood platter: completely inedible, overcooked rubber and we sent it back immediately. We said we would not pay for that, as nobody could be expected to eat that! Plus, for 4k we were expecting something quite different!!! After much discussion we paid for our drinks (which were supposed to be free) and made our way back to the boat. I was thoroughly disappointed. I did love my 20 minutes of snorkeling and enjoyed the boat ride overall, but I got none of the information I had expected, and I was hungry and angry by the time I got back. Organizers have to step up and improve this, or nobody will be wanting to take this tour!!

You should experience it at least once, but... - I would recommend taking part in something like this. But you should know what you are getting into. Otherwise you will quickly be disappointed. You should definitely order early breakfast at the hotel before you start the trip or at least have a few snacks with you. Because lunch is definitely not served before 1 p.m., but rather later. It is also now a tourist attraction with which the people there want to make a lot of money. 13 years ago it was even nicer. This time the boat was simply overcrowded. Some had to ride on the roof in 35 degree heat, some had no proper seats or they were squeezed together. When snorkeling there are beautiful parts of the reef with lots of colorful and different sea creatures. But there are also large areas where the reef just looks dead and you only see very few, unspectacular sea creatures. 13 years ago fins were strictly prohibited. Now there are Europeans who bring huge diving fins with them and carelessly clear half the reef with them. The food is very good though. The crabs are highly recommended. You get super delicious local food. What I don't understand at all, however, is that you have to hand over all plastic bottles before boarding the boat. To protect and keep the sea clean. Instead, they sell gas bottles and drinks cans on site? Huh? I'm not allowed to take my own bottle, which I want to take home with me, but they sell me the cans, which cannot be recycled or even burned in this country? And the captain drank milk and then threw the milk carton from the boat into the sea. I don't like that at all.

not bad but expensive and lots of journeys - real snorkeling site with a wide variety of corals and fish but a bit of a tourist factory and expensive and short for the price...

Lovely boat ride, but overall very disappointing - It was supposed to be a dhow ride, instead we were crammed into what felt like a life boat. There was an even number of Kenyans and foreigners - all English speakers, but the "guide" explained everything at length in Swahili and only had a handful of words to say in English. Then there weren't enough masks for everyone on board, which meant we had to take turns. Some of the participants were non-swimmers (why would you go on a snorkeling trip if you can't swim??), and had to be taken individually by the guide, leaving everyone else sitting in the boat for ages waiting. Then it was time for lunch (included in the price). We reached the island, where we were going to eat, at low tide, and we had to trudge through mud and swept up rubbish to get to land, and then climb almost impossible steps to get to the "restaurant", which was a shack. You were taking your life into your hands climbing these impossibly high, uneven, and slippery steps without even a hand rail. My friend and I had ordered a seafood platter (priced at USD 40) instead of the free lunch. What we received was completely inedible, and we returned it straight away. We told them we would not pay, which caused a huge discussion, but we prevailed. If you book the tour, make sure you actually get what you book, as we definitely didn't.

Tourist trap - Old boats and overloaded with people. There is almost nothing to see. Scam restaurants. Absolutely not to go

Horrible - Everything was good in the beginning. At the end of the tour, they filled up the dhow almost over capacity. They decided to drop us off further from the pick up spot, in order to pick up paying customers. Would definitely not return
