Had a very enjoyable time... - Had a very enjoyable time and our guide Ksenia was lovely and knowledgeable. The chapels are beautiful as are the grounds in general. We loved the underground tunnel and the miniature museum. It was small but so unique and interesting. Definitely a must see when in Kiev.

Private inclusive Lavra Tour - What a perfect afternoon with Karina meeting me at my hotel to travel together to Lavra. It was a cold day but we still went everywhere, including the top of the bell tower, the churches and into the caves. It gave me much insight into history of the Christian Orthodox Church. Her English is perfect and she has such a pleasant personality.

Splendour and famine-a place that makes you think - Natali picked my up from my hotel (me not being quite brave enough to face Kiev public transport) andwas a delightful andknowledgeable guide. Lavra is a place of beauty and belief, with its caves with the relics of some of the area's great spritual leaders and healers, still revered by many who come to ask for their intervention. But what is really staying with me is the statue of the emaciated girl commemorating the great Unkranina famine, when Stalin took all food and livestock away, to the last grain on the fields. At her feet were some offerings, all maybe from children: a biscuit, two lollipops and some candy. Western history has too often neglected what happened here, even if we may know of Siberian labour camps. So listening to some of the history of that statue, and next to it, a world heritage monument built from belief, it is a place to make you reflect. Go see what you think, definitely highlyrecommended.

This is a GREAT tour with a very knowledgeable and personable guide - LOVED our guide Eliza! She was knowledgeable about all areas of Ukrainian history, easy to talk to and very friendly. Highly recommend this tour or any tour by UkraineToGo. The Lavra is beautiful, but I was really humbled by the Holodomor museum. It's a very small museum under the Holodomor memorial and shows a 10-15 minute documentary film in English about the forced famine or genocide of the Ukrainian people in1932. Eliza also explained the meaning of the memorial design to us - both very moving. The Lavra tour is beautiful and the museum of miniatures is amazing - Don't skip it, especially if you have tweens/teens!

Definitely climb the bell tower! LOVED my guide Eliza - Ksenia responded immediately with my lovely guide's contact information and I really appreciated the customer service, flexibility on meeting time, and communication of both Ksenia and Eliza. Very well organized and helpful. I loved spending the morning with my guide Eliza walking through the cathedral, caves, monuments, bell tower and grounds of this beautiful site. Tons of details and information—and Eliza was so personable with tips about getting around Kyiv, details about Lavra, the history of Kyiv and anything I asked! Totally loved it and thank you, Eliza!! I highly recommend booking through UkraineToGo for any tour through Kyiv and especially for Lavra.

Kiev Lavra Monastery Half day tour - Ksenia from UkraineToGo was a wonderful guide. She enthusiastically shared her deep knowledge of the sites visited. Initially, I was nervous about a solo private tour but her easy and friendly manner allayed any fears. Her love of the city of Kiev was obvious and infectious. The tour was seamless and well organised, as we walked around the Lavra Monastery and surrounds. Historically very interesting and the micro miniature museum is not to be missed. It was the highlight of the tour. I can highly recommend this tour company and in particular Ksenia as a guide.
