- Golden Gate - One of the two sights of Kiev, which partially survived from the 11th century. From the 11th to the 13th century, the Golden Gate served as the main ceremonial entrance to the “Upper City” of Kiev. We will enter to the Golden Gate Museum.
- Saint Sophia Cathedral - One of the two sights of Kyiv which partially survived from the 11th century. UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If you like to enter to the territory of St. Sophia Cathedral, you can do it after the tour. The enter ticket cost is 6 euro/person. Our guide can help you to get back there from the tour end point Independence Square. You will need cover the entrance ticket for your guide as well.
- St Michael’s Golden Domed Monastery - It is the main Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and there is a functioning monastery on the territory. The Cathedral was completely destroyed in 1930’s by Soviet regime.
- Maidan Nezalezhnosti - Our guide will tell you the history of Maidan Nezalezhnosti or Independence square that is known as the venue for important political rallies including large-scale protests: Orange Revolution (2004) and Euromaidan (2013-2014).
- People’s Friendship Arch - At the moment this is a contradictory landmark of Kyiv as it is a symbol of friendship between Ukraine and Russia that was opened in 1982.
- Klitschko Pedestrian-Bicycle Bridge - This new glass bridge is one of the most interesting attractions of Kyiv. You will get incredible emotions standing on a glass floor 30 meters from the groundÑ It was opened recently in the Summer 2019 by City Mayor Vitaly Klitschko.
- Volodymyr Hill Park - Then we will climb the steps of Volodymyr’s Hill through a magnificent new park with spectacular views of the river Dnipro. Will stop near the monument to Volodymyr the Great.
- Kiev Funicular - Then we take a ride on a funicular system that is more than 100 years old, connecting two historic parts of Kyiv - the Upper Town and the Podil. It is laid on a slope of the Vladimir hill with a beautiful view of the Dnipro river.
- St. Andrew’s Church - St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv was built in XI century. This outstanding architectural monument of Kievan Rus is one of the main attractions of the Ukrainian capital. Since 1990, the temple is included in the UNESCO list.
- The Richard’s Castle - One of the mysterious buildings in Kyiv.
- Church of the Tithes - Then we visit The Old Kyiv’s Hill where according to the legend the oldest brother of the founders of Kyiv Kyi began his reign in the distant 5th century. You will see the remains of the foundation of the Church of Tithe. The baptism of Kyivan Rus began from this place. Here, Prince Vladimir built the first largest stone Orthodox church of Kyivan Rus. Also we will see The Idol of the Pagan God Perun made from wood, the 400 years old Linden Tree, little pretty Tithe Church of the Navity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and amazingly beautiful view on the Lower City Podil.
- Kontraktova Square - We will take a walk along the popular paving stones street Andrew’s Descent where local artists show their art works and sell souvenirs to the oldest square in Kyiv - Kontraktova. There we will pass by the oldest church in Kyiv - the Assumption Church of Pirohoscha, Monument to hetman Sahaydachny, fountain Samson, Shopping arcade, Kyiv Mohyla Academy.
