A wonderful day seeing and learning about so many top sites in Kyoto. - This was a full day seeing wonderful sights in and around Kyoto. There were so many great photo opportunities. Our guide was very informative, giving us the history of the places, Temples, shrines etc that we saw. Her visual aids made understanding the history easier. Being on a private tour enabled us to see so much on our first day in Kyoto and helped us plan the further two days we had. I took snacks and water. Our lunch stop in a relaxed eatery provided a good recharge. We could not have asked for a better guide. She made sure that I was able to stop at a gallery, where I wanted to buy souvenirs, (We actually returned the following day where we spent time selecting gifts)and was informative about general tourist information. Our guide made this a great way to begin our sightseeing in Kyoto, you get to see so much in one day.

Visiting Kyoto with the BEST tour guide, Mieko - Our Tour Guide was Mieko. First things first. We are two somewhat elderly American tourists. It was our first day in Japan, and we had a challenging time navigating the outstanding Japanese rail system. In other words, we got lost on our way to meet Mieko. We found a very kind Japanese English speaking couple that was willing to help us out. They phoned Mieko, and explained that we were lost. Mieko said "no problem, tell them to stay where they are, and I will meet them", and she took a train and found us. She then proceeded to greet us warmly, and we then began our day long tour. Throughout our Tour Mieko was kind, professional, knowledgeable, polite, bi-lingual and charming. She answered all of our many questions regarding Japanese history and customs. Mieko was also very kind and encouraged us to pose for photos that she took with our cameras. We have very fond memories of Mieko, and are very grateful that she was our Tour Guide. Domo arigatōgozaimasu, Mieko !

A great way to start your time in Kyoto, made planning for the rest of our stay easier. - Our day was full of wonderful sights and information. We not only saw great sights but learnt so much. There were so many opportunities to take memorable photos... Our guide was sensitive to the pace we wanted to go and the things we wanted to see. Our guide was engaging and personable. She used visual aids to explain complex history, which we found very useful. My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Great day with Yuko - It is a “long” day to see 10 things. Not really one next to the other. But we had great time. Great views. Good vibes

Kyoto 1-day tour - Great tour of Kyoto and our guide, Kaori, was excellent. She stayed with us all day, including lunch, and shared details and background on the sites that we would not have found ourselves.

Fantastic Tour - Fujiko was an amazing and engaging guide for my young teen and I. Her knowledge was impressive and she made the explanations engaging and interactive for my young son. She found a lunch restaurant to accommodate my food allergies and even went to the effort to book a reservation for us at a suitable restaurant for the next night. I highly recommend both the tour and Fujiko as a guide.

Historical Kyoto in a day - If you want to see the big name temples and shrines of Kyoto, this is a great way to do it. Our guide gave us a great grounding in Shinto versus Buddhism, plus etiquette on how to show respect. The Golden Temple was a highlight—a can’t miss experience
