Beautiful countryside - It’s located outside of Kyoto with an easy train ride from the Kyoto station. The place is claimed to be one of the best three views in Japan. There is a cable car on both sides of the sand bar which take you to the top of a hill for a perfect view of the sand bar. You can either walk or cycle along the sand bar or take a ferry from one side to the next. You can also feed the birds when on a ferry. The birds have learnt to follow the boat! A great day trip.
