Our guide Aaron lead us through this beautiful part of the city with insightful information in such a friendly manner. We saw the beautiful gardens, the temples, fed the monkeys and made new friends. Best Tour in Kyoto - This is an incredible tour led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide who goes above and beyond to ensure everyone on his tour is enjoying the experience. The two main attractions are the bamboo forest which is absolutely amazing and Aron will show you the best locations for photos, and the monkey park where a troupe of wild monkeys live and freely roam. Yet there’s so much more you’ll see…like the kimono garden and Tenryu-ji temple with a picturesque pond. Because you’ll be walking a lot, you’ll really enjoy the stop for lunch, the refreshing pause you’ll need before climbing “monkey mountain”. Aron has made friends with all the vendors along the route and handles purchasing and distributing the tickets, which allows you to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak up the culture and history of the region. In summary, a wonderful time that will give you lasting memories!

The monkeys made the day! - An awesome late day out visiting Arashiyama! The monkey park was first, it was a very steep climb to get to the top but so worth it and it did not disappoint. Saw and fed many monkeys and the view was just stunning . The bamboo forest was a sight to see as well. It was a good late day tour with Aron who was very knowledgeable and showed us all the highlights that Arashiyama had to offer.

Great tour for nature loving families - Our tour through the Arashiyama bamboo forest and monkey forest was fantastic for our family. We walked for hours but Aaron was so engaging and entertaining it went by in a flash. He gave us context and history on each of the sites, of life in Japan, and even shared some great iPhone picture hacks✌️ The best part was seeing the monkeys in their natural habitat and feeding them. We even got to see a monkey pool party - they are so much fun to watch! Arashiyama is about 30 minutes from the heart of Kyoto. Highly recommend this tour for a break from the city.
