• Enryakuji Temple Amida Do - Our visit to the Enryaku-ji Buddhist temple starts with its Gates, the east pagoda, and the Buddha Amida pavilion. The portal marks the boundary between the human and spirit worlds, offering us a chance to truly enter these sacred grounds.
• Kaidanin - The Kaidan-in pavilion is notable for the pristine and vibrant red of its facade. This dazzling red will make our memories and photos truly spectacular.
• Enryaku-ji Daikodo - The Enryaku-ji auditorium serves as the study hall for Buddhist monks. We can visit and experience the studious atmosphere. Afterwards, we head to the large bell next to this building, which we can ring in hopes that our wishes come true.
• Hieizan Enryaku-ji Temple - Here we stand before the main hall, the Konpon Chudo, which is under renovation until 2026. This gives us a unique opportunity to see how a traditional Japanese building is restored, as part of an exhibition. Nearby, we will also visit the World Peace Hall and the Monju-ro portal.
