Cultural Tea Exchange - Learning about Japanies Ceremony Intricacies - The guide showed much patience, dedication, and knowledge about the Ceremony. She was very nice and answered all the questions. She cared about the individual guests and did an introduction round so everyone could get familiar. She spoke English fluently and teached Japanese Vocabulary. All in all it was a very worthy experience where everyone learned something new.

Wonderful experience in Kyoto, completely worth it! - The experience in the Camellia Flower Teahouse was very special, with a good group and great hosts. It was done in a traditional Japanese setting, with a host explaining to us the culture and tradition of tea in Japan. We observed the traditional way of preparing tea and then we did it ourselves. It was very tasty!

Here’s the tea - We reserved the private tea ceremony experience, and absolutely loved it. There was an option to wear the traditional Kimono 👘 for the ceremony, and sorta regret not doing it. The host walked us through the end to end tea ceremony process / set up and answered all of our questions in English. It was so cool to learn about this tradition/custom; so much respect for the craft.

Loved! - We really enjoyed our experience. The staff were very friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable (even if that meant being crossed legged not kneeling!). The traditional tea room was so sweet and our host was educational and kind. It’s such a beautiful and calming Japanese traditional art and it’s lovely to see it up close. In a comfortable air conditioned room

Lovely experience - Three generations of my family participated in a tea ceremony and we all enjoyed it! Our hosts were lovely, offering my elderly mother a chair and helped my young daughters to participate. The intricacies of the tea ceremony were explained and questions were encouraged - so if you're interested in an experience not just a demonstration, you'll love this. We also opted to hire kimonos beforehand and wore them during the tea ceremony which made it all the more special.
