Lovely experience - Lovely event. Learned how to make Matcha tea correctly. I added the Kimono and loved the process. They even put my hair up with beautiful flowers and sticks.

A fun, informative experience - The Tea Ceremony was a formal, educational experience for my wife and me. Our hosts were kind, informative and funny! And the Matcha was delicious. It was great to experience in our Kimonos. It took almost an hour from showing up to getting out of there, which was the perfect amount of time for Tea, snacks and learning. I'd go again with friends should I find myself in Kyoto again.

A must during your Kyoto trip! - Highly recommend doing this on your visit to Kyoto! The tea ceremony was exquisite and meditative. We even had a chance to make our own matcha during the ceremony. Initially I didn't book a kimono dressing, but added it on based on Camellia's suggestion. I'm so glad I did. My husband and I were dressed in traditional kimono and montsuki and had a chance to walk around historic Gion district in our kimono before and after the tea ceremony. Camellia Flower is also walking distance from Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, which were visited right after our tea ceremony.

Traditional tea - Lovely experience and a must do. Very quick and did with a group. Renting a kimono would have added to the experience no doubt. Our host Judy was excellent.

A traditional experience - The famous tea ceremony, reflected in so many books and films, with all its ritual and philosophy, is a clear example of how the world of the Japanese is understood. They kindly allowed us to share that ceremony, adapted to the tourists to explain all the steps and participate.
