Nice intercultural cooking at a warm japanese home. - Anthony and Naomi have been great hosts. We spent a nice evening with them and their three lovely children. It has been a curious exchange about how is life in Japan and abroad in Europe and for teaching us hit to cook Japanese . We got some good instruction and ideas how to make Japanese homemade food at home. They prepared everything lovely and even gave us a ride back to the railways ration. We are looking forward for the recipes to be received.

Fun evening in the quiet suburbs with great food and hosts- you even get to help with prep! - We are 5 old friends visiting Japan and thought we’d try something different in Kyoto. We had a lovely night at Anthony’s house. He and Naomi are great hosts. We helped prepare dinner , which was delicious and got some ideas to try out at home. It was so nice to talk to people who live in Japan about their lives and understand some of the culture from their perspective. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Really enjoyed getting out of the city too. I would go back if I was in Kyoto! Recommended.

Like at home, with the pleasure of sharing a good time :) - For my fourth trip to Japan, I wanted to avoid tourist areas as much as possible. I wanted to share warm and authentic moments. I've been dreaming of doing a cooking class in Japan for a long time. I think with Anthony and his wonderful family, I was able to make all of these wishes come true at once. It’s accessible cuisine for all levels and delicious. The family adapts to your tastes if necessary and that is very appreciable. After cooking, we share this lovingly prepared meal together. Thank you again for this great experience! :)

Best experience EVER! Truly unique cultural enrichment. - A unique experience for our lifetime. Food was ALL prepared from scratch and EXTREMELY delicious! A once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a local family, share stories, meet their incredible children, and of course their pets. The worst part was that it had to end. I would do this again without hesitation. Anthony, Naomi and their family are definitely special people. Thank you for this opportunity!

In- home cooking and dining experience. A plus+ - A+ in home cooking experience Anthony and Naomi were terrific hosts! They Contacted us initially to get our food preferences and they nailed it to the T! Together we cooked fish, chicken, many vegetables and rice. Their 3 adorable children joined in the dinner conversation and we learned much about Japanese lifestyle and culture. Cant say enough about the whole family cooking experience! We plan to recreate this dinner when we return to our own home. Thank you for an incredible evening!

Home cooking class - Thank you for the wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt like we were visiting a family friend. They even organised a cake for my partners bday. Your family and children are so beautiful, and we loved talking about culture, food, lifestyle and many interesting things.

Family cooking class in Kyoto. Great family experience - This was the best experience for a family. Anthony and Sanae were great hosts teaching us Japanese cooking. The food was the best food we ate in Japan - gyozas and teriyaki chicken were high on the list. Delicious. The kids had a ball making the gyozas

A great night with a great family - A fantastic night visiting Anthony, Naomi and their family. The cooking was simple and tasty and the real delight was the experience of meeting “friends” in a new country. Our kids loved playing with their kids, patting the dog and generally just getting to know a real family living in Japan. It was my daughter’s birthday so Anthony even arranged a cake. Sometimes on a trip with kids, something grounding and homely is just what you need amongst all the touristy stuff and cooking with this lovely family is an experience we won’t forget

Wonderful Japanese home cooking & family hosting experience! - If you’re looking to learn about Japanese home cooking & Japanese culture at the same time, this is a fantastic way to do both! Anthony & his family were wonderful hosts and we helped cook a variety of dishes for lunch whilst learning about key ingredients (soy, sake, mirin) and Japanese culture more generally. Wonderful to be welcomed in to a family home, to meet Anthony and his family, to eat together and learn so much. We also appreciated Anthony’s great suggestions of places to visit in Kyoto which made a huge difference. Thoroughly recommend this experience.
