Our shop is a 2 minute walk from Kyoto central station, our groups are small, our bikes are top quality ‘Giant’ hybrids, and our guides are relaxed, bilingual, experienced and safe!

By far one of my best and most informative tours, and I've traveled and done many, many tours! - What more can I say...Indra was amazing! Knowledgeable about not just Kyoto history, but also Japan's second capital's rich culture. Indra took us to ancient Buddhist temples (Hongwanji) to a Shogun's resort villa (Golden Temple), to of course the world famous Gion Geisha district and finally Fushimi Inari, where he told us the story and economics behind the 13,000 Torii gates (Shinto).

Best way to see Kyoto! - My 19 year old son and I had a wonderful time in this full fay tour of Kyoto. Sean was an excellent guide— highly knowledgeable about the area, Japanese history, customs and religion. He expertly took on us through small alleys w no traffic so cycling was fun and enjoyable. Plus we got to see many older homes. Our lunch spot was fantastic — fun conveyor belt sushi spot! I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to cover a lot of ground in a day, learn about the city and take a break from walking!

Family full day highlights tour - Excellent highlights of Kyoto in our full day tour. Fantastic guide Jay Crystall was knowledgeable, patient and lots of fun. He found us a delicious lunch spot and gave great explanations of the sites. Cycling was split up over 7 hours, total 31km but mostly flat and kids managed fine. Great way to see the city!

Book a bike tour with Cycle Kyoto! - Our full-day tour with Jay was fantastic! We loved cycling through the back streets and paths of Kyoto, visiting great sites with a guide who seemed like a friend. It was a highlight of our trip and Cycle Kyoto was great to work with. Don't miss it!

Fantastic 1 day tour with an awesome guide INDRA!!! - Indra, our guide today deserves 5 STARS 100%.
Super kind, super knowledgeable about Japanese history in general and the specific background of the cultural heritage sites we visited together.
I and my 13 year old son fully enjoyed the trip, and I would like to come back with my family again in the near future.
You shouldn’t miss it.

Awesome Tour! 🚴 - Super fun day trip!
Ended up being a private tour with just our group which actually made for a really great experience. Totally manageable bike distance and a lot of really cool stuff to see.
Lunch included was a definite plus!

A first class tour of Kyoto - A grand day out. Jules gave us a full exploration of Kyoto and educated us on a bunch of aspects of life in Japan as well as imparting knowledge about the city. We learned the difference between temples and shrines! We enjoyed a proper taste of Kyoto… taking in tourist sites and off the beaten track areas that you might not otherwise see… A real highlight of our time in Japan. RECOMMEND!

Would recommend to see Kyoto in a day - Good cycling tour with chill guide who spoke very good English. Knowledgeable about each area and took us to a pretty good restaurant. Bikes were in good condition and nice to ride

Best way to see Kyoto - Fantastic bespoke tour of Kyoto expertly guided by Julian. The e-bikes were brilliant and as Kyoto is big and the sights spread out this is by far the best way to see Kyoto. We loved the little quiet back streets, the temples, path of philosophy and Gion district. The autumn colours were magnificent. Lunch stop in a traditional noodle house was wonderful. Julian was a perfect guide. Very knowledgeable of the history and culture of temples, expert in navigating the little streets of Kyoto and very respectful of Japanese culture and traditions. Directions from the ttain station were perfect. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone who has a day in Kyoto. Thanks team it was brilliant.

Full Day of Exploration in Kyoto - Highly recommend this tour with Juan. He was great and so knowledgeable about Kyoto as he’s lived there for 25 years. Loved seeing Kyoto up close and personal from a bike. This was by far my favorite day in Kyoto!
