Fab mountain hike of Mount Inari - Matt was a great guide. The tour was excellent. He provided loads of interesting facts about the forest plants and animals, Japanese Shinto and Buddhist traditions, culture and history as well as leading our small group up the mountain via back paths we would never have done on our own. Most of the time we had the forest paths, bamboo groves and shrines to ourselves thanks to Matt’s excellent route planning. Highly recommended.

Great tour/hike! - I didn't know what to expect on this hike/tour, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Equal parts history, views, spiritualism, culture, and nature. Matthew was an amazing guide! I'm not an avid hiker, but I felt very supported by his guidance on trickier terrain. His knowledge of Shinto history was also amazing. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. I would also recommend wearing sturdy shoes for the hike...it's a real hike, lol.

Just do it - If you’re like me and want to avoid other tourists.. this is the trip for you. I’m not usually someone who takes tours. But I’m really happy I did! Also it’s actually really nice to have someone explain what everything means. I really appreciated that!

Best way to get to know Fushimi Inari. Thanks Matt! - Matt was the best! Great guide taking us through the most beautiful places with perfect detailed information about Japan and Fushimi Inari. Good pace, keeping us hydrated and keeping the mosquitos. Also giving us the best Japanese snacks. Can highly recommend! Glad I took this tour. Thank you so much Matt.

nice - I had a lovely time it's nice to explore parts of kyoto that are not completely filled with people especially the top of the shrine area is pretty empty because most people don't walk up all the way
