Missed my tour, No help from tour provider - I was so looking forward to seeing & learning about Gion. I had printed the Get Your Guide pass for this tour. My taxi driver took me to that location (Cafetel Kyoto Sanjo). However, in checking the app on my phone, the meeting spot had changed to Hotel Alza. I had trouble finding the hotel using the map on the app. A kind young Japanese man offered to help me. We walked around the Gion area and he likewise could not figure out the hotel's location on his google map. He called the hotel and spoke to them in Japanese and shortly after that, we found it. It had no signage visible from the street until you stood in front of of the small wood front door. By the time we found it, the guide had left. So sadly, I did not get this tour. The worst thing about this in terms of Get Your Guide's local tour provider (One Kyoto Tours) is that during the 15+ minutes we looked for the hotel meeting spot, I called the "activity provider's" phone number on the app 4 times !! and never got an answer.
