Good rental of kimonos - Simple and inexpensive rental to experience wearing a kimono for a few hours. Possibility to have your hair done for an extra charge. Kind and fast people on site. Thank you!

Best kimono rental shop - The team at this shop was very nice and efficient in helping us get into the kimonos and even did my hair and makeup in 1 hour. It was a very good experience since we were on a tight schedule. English speaker friendly.

Great place! - Wonderful experience! Definitely make a reservation so you don’t have to wait, and consider pairing with a rickshaw ride. So fun!

Dressing up - The ladies were so helpful & dressed us up for success. They even had time to add makeup on a few of the ladies who didn’t initially booked for make-up. Highly recommended this experience for your trip to Kyoto

We LOVED this experience! - My 78 year old mother and 11 year old daughter did this together with me. A three generational cultural experience. Staff were friendly, patient, and helpful with getting us all ready together. **A little tip** they weren't busy because it was a bit drizzly weather. Buy yourself a CLEAR umbrella so to let the light through but you don't get wet. Your photos will have gorgeous soft atmospheric light. The streets will be far less busy too. This was a core memory that we three will never forget. Arigato

It was alright - The problem that I had here is that they don’t allow time for hair and makeup with this reservation! I figured it was extra charge and I was totally ok paying extra for it. But they didn’t have time to do my makeup which was very inconvenient for me! Everything nice is extra charge! Nicer kimono, purse, hair and makeup. Also it is a 10% (TEN) to pay by credit card in there. So take cash if you don’t want to be ripped off!

Do Not Recommend - Staff was not that friendly and catered more to customers who spoke their native tongue (not Japanese). Some staff treated us foreigners like we were more like a nuisance. Their kimono & yukata selections were very limited. My husband & son each had only 3 yukata to choose from & they were all dark, plain & drab colors. I asked for a larger sized slipper & was told that it only came in one size. Yet when another customer (native speaker in their language) asked for the same thing, they quickly ran to the back to get her a larger pair. Customers are not treated fairly. Also, it seems if you want better treatment, you need to spend more. I guess I was treated like a waste of their time cause I only chose their basic package. Their hair accessories have much to be desired. They were old, ratty & in total need of replacement.

Unpleasant and chaotic - This was unpleasant and chaotic. The shop workers are rude. They didn't realize that I spoke Chinese as well as English and they are definitely ruder to foreigners.
