Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion): The main attraction of Kinkakuji Temple is the golden Shariden Hall, said to be built with the image of the Pure Land in mind. Its beauty is truly breathtaking. Additionally, the 600-year-old pine tree known as “Rokushumatsu” is one of the three most famous pines in Kyoto and symbolizes a boat heading to the Pure Land. It is also a classic Japanese Zen garden.
