- Kinkakuji Temple - This famous Zen temple is an icon of Samurai culture. You enter this venerated temple right after it opens in the morning, when few people visit. At this hour it is possible to get a good look at the gilded building and its beautiful appearance reflected in the pond and to take pictures at your own pace.

Great guide and enjoyable tour! - Wow! We did a lot on this tour! This was a great way to see some of Kyoto's most popular sites. I liked how we got to see the Thousand Torii Gate shrine earlier before the crowds started coming in. Be prepared to do A LOT of walking on this tour, but it was fine. There is so much to see and you will enjoy every minute of it. We stopped for matcha ice cream and went through a train museum. This was all enhanced with a very sweet and informative guide named Hiroko. She was so kind of knowledgeable of everything around us. This was a very enjoyable tour. Thank you so much, Hiroko!

Wonderful Early Morning Walking Tour - We thoroughly enjoyed our Kyoto Early Bird Walking Tour. It did become crowded as the morning went on, so being early was the ticket for us. Our guide, Tomoko, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and was wonderful! There is a lot of walking so a pair of comfortable shoes is a must! Would definitely recommend this tour!

Wonderful Kyoto! - Our tour of Kyoto with Maria was absolutely wonderful! She is the sweetest person and so knowledgeable about Kyoto and Japanese history. We fully enjoyed our day with her and would highly recommend to anyone to visiting Kyoto to sign up for this tour and ask for Maria!

Great tour of Kyoto highlights - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide, Koichi-san was knowledgable, professional and accommodating of our family group comprising 3 generations (the youngest 7 and the oldest 81) - structuring the tour to ensure we could fit everything in and engaging with everyone to ensure we all got something out of it. Kyoto walking tour - Our guide Seiya Maegawa was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the sites we visited. We did a lot of walking, and it was very hot, so those considering this tour should be aware. We learnt much more about the significance of the sites than if we had gone ourselves and not had the guide. We highly recommend this tour. Our guide spoke very good English also.

Great sightseeing, fewer crowds - Hisashi was a great guide! We were glad to visit some of Kyoto's most prominent tourist attractions before the crowds (and heat) became overwhelming. He helped us navigate the transit system and offered some helpful info about the places we were seeing. We'd recommend this tour to those looking to avoid the crowds.
