Definitely Recommend - Really great time! Our tour guide Taisei was very knowledgeable and fun. He had great suggestions and provided the history on the items we ate as well as the restaurants they were from. Definitely recommend this food tour when you’re in Kyoto.

Definitely Recommend - Really fun!! Taisei was a great guide who had lots of fun facts and recommendations for us. He guided us to some very delicious eats and explained the history of the items. The three hours flew by. It’s a good combination of walking and sitting. As someone with back problems, I had no issues with this schedule and duration! Highly recommend especially to not get overwhelmed with options at the market.

Fun morning tour - Fun market tour. We tried many snacks, saw a local shrine and had a great time with our tour guide. She took the time to answer our Japanese cultural questions and took many pictures of us tasing all the things.

Market time! - While we could have explored Nishiki Market on our own, having a guide made all the difference. Taka, our guide, not only showed us the market’s hidden gems but also introduced us to some incredible local delicacies. He truly took care of us throughout the experience. If you’re looking for a bit of personalized attention while exploring the market, this tour is highly recommended.

Tastes of Osaka - Miho was an exceptional guide and very genuine and great company. The tour covered slots of incredible food choices and tastes and we also managed to pick up a range of goodies to bring home!!! Perfect outing.

Great experience - This was a great way to experience Nishiki Market for the first time! Miho was a wonderful and friendly guide, and I would have been overwhelmed without her guidance. We got to try a wide variety of foods and were even shown a few shops that I picked up some gifts from. Learning about some of the nearby shrines is also a great bonus!

Best tour experience - Eduardo was our excellent food guide who gave us just enough history and his own personal recommendations for this excellent food tour. He was accommodating since we were late (we did a private tour) and he was flexible in what we wanted to try and see! And also allowed us to take our time to explore this historic market! He took us to the most authentic Japanese restaurant for lunch which we then recommended to our friends who also loved it! I can’t say enough nice things about Eduardo and this tour experience! It’s a definite must when in Kyoto!

Amazing Food, Small Group Tour, with Shrines and a local Guide who Made us feel like we were Locals! - This tour was amazing! I was arriving solo and was happy to see our group was small. Our guide Shinsuke made the tour feel like you were walking around Kyoto with your friend who knows all of the best food, cool shopping experiences (like honey water, a hand soap hand washing shop (mini spa like), and even two really interesting shrines included as well. A lot packed in, but Shinsuke never made us feel rushed and also was open to any questions!

Need to see and experience while in Kyoto - I was amazed on how great Nishiki Market is laid out. All the food looks delectable, I wish I have more time to try and sample all it has to offer! Our guide Machiko is awesome, gave us all the info and back story about the food that we sampled. My only wish is bigger portions were served, it’s a food tour after all!
