Great day out - Fuji our guide is a really interesting guy, very knowledgeable and engaging. He had a great sense of humour and made our trip a great experience. It’s a full on day from one side of Kyoto to the other, using all public transport including buses. The sites are amazing, very busy but worth it. Shrines, temples, the bamboo forest and the beautiful river. I would recommend this trip as a must do while in Kyoto.

Awesome tour with a special guide - Lynn was a great guide. She was very attentive to the needs of each member of our group and very patient. We were able to traverse the train system with her guidance. She imparted a great bit of information about each stop and was an enjoyable companion.

Enjoyable Day - Our guide Tomoko was the best. Even under scorching sunshine she kept up with the schedule while ensuring that we were safe during the day. Her knowledge of the attractions was outstanding

Great 1 Day in Kyoto Tour - Naoko was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. We learned so much and covered more than we had expected. So glad we booked this tour, as we would have never been able to see as much, or get as much detailed information as we did if we had tried to this on our own. Highly recommend, as it was well worth it!

Best way to see Kyoto! - I have taken many, many trips and tours with Viator. This was the BEST experience I've ever had with them!! Run, don't walk to book this wonderful day. Our guide, Kazuhiro-san, was absolutely astounding. His knowledge of each place, the history of Japan, his expert guidance in helping us through the transit system (we took taxis, trains, and teams), all keeping us on schedule without feeling rushed, was without peer. Keep in mind, this is a LONG day and we walked 20,000 steps according to my Fitbit in 97° heat. We were utterly exhausted at days end. But in return, we had a private tour with a personable, knowledgeable guide, perfectly fluent in English, who really gave us his knowledge and experience. We saw 5 extraordinary sights and had the best lunch I have ever had (not included, but Kaz helped us find a beautiful Waygu beef restaurant near the bamboo forest). So much nicer than being herded on a tour bus with dozens of your best friends. Great value--I can't say enough about this trip.

Exactly what we wanted. - We had a wonderful day on our walking tour with Satomi. She was very knowledgeable and took us exactly where we wanted to go. Never rushed us, took some lovely group photos. Would highly recommend.

Best Kyoto Tour - Our guide Naoko was terrific. She shared so much information with us and showed us all of the best sights of Kyoto. I would definitely recommend this tour. It’s a great way to see all of the top sights in a short amount of time. It saved us lots of time trying to figure out how to get from place to place.

Worst for - I feel extremely cheated for this tour. I was charged close to £100 each yet I could have conducted the tour myself with only£15 each. I was expecting a conducted tour but instead I got the guide who took us from station to station where I paid my own fares in the extreme heat. Had it been the taxi paid for by the company then money well paid. The nothing wrong with the guide but this trip is nowhere near £100. People should do this trip on their own.
I demand refund from the company on this tour.
