During the first part of this group cultural tour, walk through the delightful streets of Gion. Gain insights into Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage and traditional allure. Learn about the lives of Maiko (apprentice Geisha) and Geisha (known as Geiko in Kyoto) and discover the intriguing history of this famous geisha district from an informed local guide.

In the second part of the tour, visit a unique private residence where you will be graciously received by a Maiko and the venue’s owner (a former Geiko). Enjoy their captivating live performance, engage in conversation, and take photos with the Maiko.

• As this is a walking tour, we recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes.
• The tour will take place rain or shine.
• No wet cloth and socks are allowed at the venue on rainy days (Please use an umbrella during the walk).
• Services not listed (for example: Hotel pickup and drop-off, Transportation to/from the meeting spot, Extra food and drink, Other personal expenses) are not included in the tour.
