Highly recommended - We had a fabulous tour with Alex through Gion. It was our first night in Kyoto and we could not have picked a better activity to do. Our guide, Alex, was outstanding, so knowledgeable and full of tips to enjoy our stay beyond the tour. Highly recommend.

Guided night tour - AI did an amazing job taking us to both tourist and non-tourist places. Time went by very quickly. At completion of the tour, she pointed out some bars and cafes that would interest us. Highly recommended.

Great tour. - Absolutely brilliant tour. Would highly recommend it. Zied was a fantastic guide. So knowledgeable. I’m glad we paid a little extra for the private tour as it was great.

A walk between past and present - Thanks to Miyake San for a fantastic three-hour walk! From one temple to another, our jaws are constantly unhooked in the face of the beauty of the buildings and alleys, the best moment being when we passed by a street where photos were forbidden. That's a good thing because it's an exceptional visit and it's better to enjoy it without worrying about being able to bring back a photo at any Award. Speaking of photo thank you again to our Guide who during the best spots took us all spontaneously, the memory was up to it! We also stopped at two-thirds of the way to eat for really cheap, the meal consisting of a drink and a kind of delicious okonomiyaki. Finally we had the chance to see a Maiko, real living flower of the neighborhood. What a pity that so many tourists waste the moment by almost sticking to the maiko to have absolutely a photo instead of enjoying the magical and timeless moment that the appearance of these women constitutes.

A fun walking tour to get a taste of Kyoto - Our guide Jasmine was amazing and we loved our stroll through Gion District. We would HIGHLY advise taking a Uber or taxi to the meeting point instead of taking the subway which is confusing for first timers and requires a lot of walking.

Great private tour with fabulous guide (Gustavo) - We had a fabulous private tour of Gion at night with Gustavo (Gus). It was well worth the extra cost - Gus was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. The tour included a snack (Okonomiyaki) which we had near the end and it was more like a full dinner.

Good intro to Kyoto - Really interesting tour and we did manage to spot a geisha very briefly! It was 3.5 hours long so be prepared to cover some ground - be aware that there is not a lot of time to stop and take pictures so treat it as a way to find out more about the area and places you might want to come back to. We did this tour in our first night in Kyoto so it was a great introduction. Our guide Jasmine was very friendly, arrived promptly at the meeting point, and was able to answer our questions. She spoke really quietly though and the group often struggled to hear her, especially near to the roads. There is a short stop at a cafe for matcha or red bean dessert which gave us a break from walking but otherwise just felt a bit like the tour was being prolonged unnecessarily?

Nice stroll in nice area - We enjoyed the walk and things we saw but it was a bit slow paced for our liking. It went longer than 3 hours but we felt it could've been covered in 1.5-2 hours without a break. We were lucky enough to see 3-4 Maiko & Geiko and appreciate the tips not to photograph their faces. Brooke was our guide.

Beautiful area but not a prepared guide - Beautiful area to walk through, however I could have done this without the guide. He did not have much knowledge to impart about the area and half of the people on the tour left early and I wish we had as well, but didn’t want to be rude.
